The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Essential Job Details:
1x SPED teacher needed for Beaverton School District, located in Beaverton, OR. Position is covering a LOA, though the internal candidate has not started their assignment and the district does not believe the candidate will return.

Active OR SPED License (please attach to submittal)
Availability to work in person for the duration of the assignment.
Previous experience working in behavioral classrooms
Ability to communicate with students, staff, parents in a professional manner

Our client, a leading educational institution dedicated to early childhood development, is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Education Specialist to join their team in Portland, Oregon, US . This role is integral to developing and implementing innovative curriculum and educational programs for young children, ensuring a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. The Specialist will work directly with educators, parents, and children to assess educational needs, design age-appropriate learning activities, and provide professional development support to teaching staff. Responsibilities include curriculum design, program evaluation, child development assessment, and the creation of educational resources. You will also play a key role in fostering positive parent-teacher communication and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child psychology, early learning theories, and best practices in early childhood education. A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CDA) are highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong observational abilities, and a genuine love for working with young children are essential. This position requires the ability to be physically present at our Portland, Oregon, US facility.
