Summary:
May perform duties of an administrative representative but with greater autonomy and discretion. Work involves a greater knowledge of office/clinic procedures and practice, independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Expedites non-routine purchases for departments as delegated. May maintain inventory of supply
2. May train others using verbal and written communication
3. Performs more complex scheduling of providers, staff, facilities, home care and/or patients (involving critical meetings or multiple medical procedures as an example). Coordinates meetings, workshops, and other events, including travel, based on predetermined needs.
4. Prepares and maintains basic financial records
5. Prepares complex forms, reports, presentations and other documents requiring a higher level of proficiency with software. Creates, proofreads or edits correspondence and documents for internal and external circulation based on existing templates.
6. Procuring and filing records, researching lost or missing records, and posting information to records or ledgers in accordance with established procedures and systems. Checks records to verify accuracy and compliance with rules and procedures of appropriate system. Resolves discrepancies by contacting appropriate office to obtain information on source of discrepancy and correcting any errors.
7. Registering patients and completing encounter forms. Collecting patient payments and insurance information and making proper referrals to financial departments. May contact insurance companies directly to verify/determine eligibility. May also verify previous balance owed to UNCH.
8. Represents UNCHCS with internal and/or external entities in regards to budget, payments, collections, inventory to accomplish organizational goals.
9. Serves as a second level of response to customer inquiries and complaints in person, by phone and/or electronic communication. This may include working with third party providers.

Job Summary
The Program Coordinator of Interpreter Education (ASL) provides supervision and curricular oversight within the assigned program or discipline. The Program Coordinator will provide academic leadership and support adjunct faculty in delivering high-quality education. This position also carries a teaching workload as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties listed on the instructor job description.
- Assists the Dean with the development of the program course schedule, including assignment of adjunct faculty.
- Manages budget for program or discipline including any required travel, materials and supplies, equipment, adjunct instruction.
- Manages programmatic or course specific equipment and inventory and assumes responsibility for labs and other facilities designated primarily for the assigned program or course.
- Maintains program of study compliance with state curriculum standards and updates in response to industry needs.
- Fosters continuous program improvement through annual planning process, including goal setting, report of results, and use of results.
- Recruits, screens, and selects adjunct faculty for program.
- Evaluates program adjunct faculty.
- Monitors course and program enrollment and makes recommendations to the Dean regarding addition or removal of sections based on enrollment.
- Participates in the development and implementation of articulation agreements and promotes student participation in such programs.
- Develops and evaluates curriculum for quality, including updates to program of study, course content, assessments, etc.
- Chairs or participates in advisory committee meetings.
- Completes the program review process.
- Maintains contacts with business, industry, and professional organizations to keep instructional program current with occupational or academic field.
- Participates in the College's marketing and recruitment efforts by reviewing and providing content for program publications, the College's website, social media, marketing materials, and other community relations activities and attending events to enhance the College's outreach efforts.

LONGEVITY
Longevity is a yearly lump-sum payment you receive after working 10 years:

FACULTY LEAVE
Faculty members do not earn annual leave. Faculty are required to be on campus 30 hours per week which includes teaching, holding office hours, advising, committee work and other events (i.e. registration, professional development and graduation).
PERSONAL LEAVE
Faculty members earn three (3) personal leave days per fiscal year (7/1-6/30). Personal leave days are not transferable to any other form of leave and are not cumulative.
SICK LEAVE
You earn 12 days per year (8 hours per month). This leave can accumulate indefinitely. When you retire, available sick hours will convert to creditable service with the Retirement System.

HEALTH INSURANCE
You may join the State Health Plan. There is an employee contribution to the State Health Plan; however, the State pays a portion of the monthly premium as well. Dependents may also be covered. You may elect 70/30 coverage or 80/20 coverage. Upon retirement, coverage may continue; however, it depends on the conditions under which you retire. It should be noted that insurance premiums are expensive, and rates/coverage may change annually. Open enrollment allows for changes to be made to your health coverage, and it is usually conducted in October each year.
RETIREMENT
Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System (TSERS)
Six percent of your gross salary as pre-taxed dollars goes into your retirement account monthly. A death benefit of one time's your annual salary (minimum 25,000 and maximum 50,000) is provided to you once you have been in the system for one year. Once you have completed five years in the system, you are considered to be vested.
Unreduced Retirement Benefits are available as follow:
Age 65 with 5 years of service
Age 60 with 25 years of service
Any age with 30 years of service
Disability Income Plan:
Is provided through TSERS. The plan provides short-term benefits after one year in the system. After a sixty-day waiting period, the plan pays 50% of
your salary and longevity up to 3,000 per month for one year.
It also provides long-term benefits after you are vested (5 years in the system). The plans pays 65% of your salary and longevity, up to 3900 per month until the disability ends. Long-term benefits include health coverage and the death benefit. Payments will be reduced if you are receiving social security disability benefits or workers compensation benefits.
WORKERS COMPENSATION
Upon an accidental injury on the job, you will be covered by Workers Compensation. You should notify your supervisor and Human Resources immediately when an accident or injury on the job occurs.
