**Responsibilities**
Responsible for proactive identification of and planning for department, laboratory and work unit education and training needs in collaboration with leadership. Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of educational and training programs for students, and allied health staff in compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Participates as clinical education faculty (Assistant Program Director)in formal education programs within the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS) Phlebotomy Technician program. Teaches, trains and mentors students and other education personnel/employees. Maintains knowledge and skills in laboratory/work area specialty and in education methodologies.

**Qualifications**
Associates degree (or higher) from an accredited institution and ASCP or NHA phlebotomy national certification. A minimum of three years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience.
**Additional Skills and Qualifications:**
Prior experience in teaching, training and mentoring students and employees. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), strong organizational skills and self-initiative; patience and the ability to effectively coach and mentor others. Experience in developing education and training programs is preferred. Experience with data collection, organization, analysis, and delivery of information. Able to work as a team member including taking direction from others. Able to work independently. Able to manage projects.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Manager of Education - Medical Transport is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the EMS education program for the Medical Transport departments in a specified region. The scope of this work will primarily include developing and implementing EMS education and training plans, and oversight for EMS quality assurance plans. Additionally, the position will focus on standardized onboarding for both staff and leader level new hires, ad hoc education to support strategic initiatives, and continuing education for both staff and leaders. Partnering with the program Physician Medical Directors, as well as subject matter experts, this role will assist in determining the training focus for multiple hospital-based EMS agencies, based on clinical performance and quality assurance indicators. This role will be responsible for producing education deliverables (e-learning modules, webinars, ILT, instructional videos, blended learning, etc.) as well as providing in-person, remote, and hybrid trainings to both staff and leaders. Collaborates with faculty, instructional program managers, program managers, project coordinators, and directors to develop needed courses and programs; prepares and processes curriculum proposals; develops proposed course/class schedules, faculty assignments and workloads; and coordinates the adoption of textbooks.
Reviews and processes student problems and appeals; counsels and advises students on academic matters; and mediates faculty and student grievances and complaints.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
At a minimum the selected candidate must have Master¿s of Science or Arts degree with a focus on human services, education, or related field from a regionally accredited institution supplemented by three (3) years of higher education administrative and/or teaching experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Evidence of demonstrated leadership is required.
Additionally the preferred candidate will have Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in human services, education, or related field supplemented by five (5) years of administrative and/or teaching experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Evidence of demonstrated leadership required. Experience in measurement of program/learning outcomes. Curriculum experience.
