The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is seeking a dedicated, professional, and passionate full -time Director of Education. Reporting to the Vice President, Helpline, Education, and Outreach, the Director of Education is responsible for the creation, development, implementation, dissemination and evaluation of dynamic, evolving, and multi-faceted education initiatives , including CSCs hallmark, Frankly Speaking About Cancer (FSAC) program . The Director supervises day-to-day operations of the dynamic Education team to ensure that CSC educational initiatives are delivered at the highest standards of plain language, health literacy, and psychosocial care for people impacted by cancer. The Director should possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to drive the operational execution and implementation of day-to-day activities. The Director should also possess strong project management experience , with an understanding of the challenges involved with managing portfolios of projects , in order to serve as the teams project lead when working with internal teams and external partners to ensure that CSC educational resources and initiatives align in a coherent operating model, consistent with the mission, culture, and strategy of the organization. The Director is ultimately responsible for the development and curation of CSCs educational initiatives, including print, digital and online materials, and evaluation. Further, the Director contributes to CSC fund development and grant writing including ideation to drive innovation, and related grant management.

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, OUTREACH AND MANAGEMENT :
- Building upon the existing Frankly Speaking about Cancer (FSAC) programs, develop innovative educational programs and ensure they continue to reflect patient experience and evolving science by
utilizing patient and caregiver insights collected throughout CSC, identifying needs and communication gaps and addressing them, and by including patient & caregiver insights in the co-creation of materials.
- Work collaboratively with FSAC partners, including other non-profit organizations, patient advocates , and health care providers to inform the development and delivery of patient-centered educational programs.
- Ensure the integrity, cultural relevance, and gold-standard plain language and health literacy appropriateness of all written, digital, and online educational materials with ongoing updates.
- Conduct program evaluation to continuously improve FSAC deliverables, as well as to provide insights and outcomes/impact data to funders.
- Ensure continuous improvement through evaluation of education outcomes .
- Track year over year distribution and outreach of all FSAC materials.
- Finalize scope of work and innovative deliverables based on funding provided.
- Attract, motivate, engage, and develop a diverse staff ,
fostering an inclusive, mission-focused culture.
- Provide supervision and opportunities for professional growth both within CSC teams and outside organizations.

PROFESSIONAL OUTREACH :

The individual should have:
- A strong track record of leading business development efforts that lead to targeted, significant new client relationships; expanded capabilities; and/or productive partnerships,
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with a diverse range of funding sources, including grants and foundations, and contracting vehicles, options, and strategies,
- A graduate degree in a field related to education and/or social science research and evaluation (e.g., educational assessment and measurement, educational leadership, educational policy, organizational psychology, educational psychology, educational technology); Ph.D. preferred,
- A significant amount of post-graduate level experience (15+ years) managing a portfolio of project work that yields a large, diverse professional network,

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Program Management 50%•Strategically develops a comprehensive community education program leveraging community assets.•Schedules, coordinates, promotes, and evaluates a wide range of continuing education enrichment courses and activities within the program.•Serves as a liaison across departments and with external partners to facilitate successful program delivery and support services.•Participates in community events and outreach activities that enhance program visibility and support the college's mission. •Recruits, hires, onboards, and supervises adjunct instructors; conducts evaluations and manages performance, including contract terminations when necessary.•Collaborates with instructors to design and develop new course offerings based on trends, feedback, and identified community interests.•Establishes and maintains productive relationships with external organizations, agencies, and community partners to support program development and delivery.•Ensures that classroom and off-site instructional spaces are adequately equipped and properly arranged to support successful program delivery.•Assists instructors and provides oversight during travel programs and classroom-based activities.•Coordinates with the Workforce Center to execute contract training opportunities aligned with community education, ensuring effective delivery and partnership outcomes.•Delivers exceptional customer service to students, instructors, and partners responding promptly and professionally through various communication channels.Administrative 40%•Prepares and distributes instructor confirmation letters, vendor agreements, class rosters and supplies, and instructional pay contracts in accordance with college policies and procedures.•Performs accurate data entry for course schedules and maintains up-to-date records within integrated data systems to ensure data integrity. •Ensures all production calendar deadlines are met, coordinating timelines and deliverables to support timely and effective program implementation.•Develops, reviews, and edits promotional materials for courses and programs to support effective marketing and communication strategies.•Responsible for projecting program revenue, monitoring and analyzing community education expenditures, and preparing profit and loss spreadsheet to ensure fiscal accountability to support informed program planning.Strategic Planning 10%•Participates in the department's annual planning and budgeting process to align program goals with institutional priorities.•Supports budget development by making expenditure recommendations to the Director and Executive Director of Adult and Community Education.•Represents the college by actively participating in statewide committees, professional conferences, institutional workgroups, and relevant professional development activities.Additional Duties:Performs other related work as required. Minimum Education and Training Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Event Management, Communications, Education, or a related field is required.Preferred Education and Experience:A minimum of three years of professional experience in project management, workshop, or course facilitation, and/or member services management is preferred. Position Summary:
Veritas Management Group is seeking a dynamic and committed Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) to serve the faith community aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. The PREC will work in collaboration with the Command Chaplain and designated Protestant Chaplain to develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive religious education program aligned with Marine Corps and Command Religious Program (CRP) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a Protestant religious education program for all age groups, including Sunday School, youth activities, and adult Bible studies.
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer religious education staff and facilitators.
Provide administrative support including calendar planning, supply procurement, publicity, and records management.
Facilitate special seasonal programs (Advent, Lent, Vacation Bible School).
Coordinate ecumenical events with the Catholic Religious Education Coordinator and other CRP staff.
Ensure compliance with all security, safety, and facility use procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field (Masters preferred).
Two or more years of experience in religious education program management.
Demonstrated knowledge of Protestant theology, curriculum development, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with U.S. military chaplaincy and interfaith environments preferred.
