**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
+ Develop and maintain spreadsheets
+ Review student work and assign binary scores (0 or 1) for various rubric items
+ Analyze and visualize data using R to describe student learning trajectories
+ Work with PI and GTAs when using the data for revising teaching strategies in real time

Position Summary
The School of Education seeks applications between July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2025 - 2026 academic year.
Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

Description of Work Unit
CSUVetCE
This position serves to direct the post-graduate veterinary continuing education (CE) programs, operated as CSUVetCE, for the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. CSUVetCE operates from the state-of-the-art CE facilities within the C. Wayne McIlwraith Translational Medicine Institute ( TMI ). These facilities include 11,000+ square feet of dedicated CE space in addition to shared use of TMI's 6655sf Grand Event Hall with 2070sf outdoor terrace, 3246sf 3rd Floor auditorium, 4556sf standing large animal examination / teaching space and more. Future growth of the program is projected to expand beyond the TMI facilities.
Launched as an idea in 2018, CSUVetCE is now the largest provider of university-based veterinary continuing education (CE) in North America (if not the world). Between our public-facing CE courses ( and our private, customized courses for practice network groups and specialty organizations, we annually provide more than 100in-personCE training courses on more than 200 calendar days to more than 2600 veterinarians from around the US and the world. Our growing library of "anywhere/anytime" online courses has further expanded our global reach. Our in-person and online courses span from the entry-skill level veterinarian to the advanced sub-specialist and currently cover canine, feline, equine and exotic species on topics such as general surgery, critical care and emergency case management, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ophthalmology, arthroscopy, wound management, lameness evaluation, orthopedic coaptation, orthopedic surgery, dentistry, reproduction and more.

Position Summary
The full-time Graduate Education Coordinator plays a critical and supportive role in strengthening department efforts to provide quality advising and promote graduate student success. The primary functions are to advise prospective students, foster successful transition to the university, engage in innovative and holistic approaches to providing students with strategies and resources for academic success, foster student engagement, assist with timely graduation, and participate in department/college initiatives related to student advising. The duties include:
+ Being proactive in outreach and interventions
+ Participating in recruiting and retention efforts
+ Serve as primary contact person for the MSB VCC Program and associated Graduate Certificates: answer inquiries from prospective students; alert and remind current students of upcoming deadlines; instruct students on fulfilling Graduate School and departmental requirements and completing required paperwork for each benchmark; monitor student progress toward degree and maintain detailed student files
+ Work closely with students, faculty members, Graduate Education Committee ( GEC ) , the Graduate School, and Admissions to ensure student retention and success from admission through graduation
The Graduate Education Coordinator will work closely with the MSB VCC Director, Associate Department Head for Undergraduate Education, and other advisors/support coordinators within the College.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date. The department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
This position offers the potential for a hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-person and remote work, based on training requirements.

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance ( SMTD ) at Colorado State Universityempowers students to create, collaborate, innovate, and inspire. Through teaching, creative artistry, research, advocacy, and service,we elevate arts education. SMTD has 46 tenured and tenure-track faculty as well as 55 contract, continuing and adjunct faculty. The Eco Week environmental education program is hosted by the Mountain Campus. The program provides opportunities for hands-on environmental education for K-12 students, geared toward 5th grade. Students learn about various topics related to the Rocky Mountain ecosystem in a beautiful mountain valley while on their three-day, two-night residential program. The program has been in existence for over 45 years in partnership with Poudre School District and local Front Range elementary and middle schools.
Eco-Experience is an environmental education program offered to mainly 5th graders (though some schools attend with middle school participants). These positions (8) provide class instruction and daily oversight for the program, lead campfire and evening activities, assist with mealtime such as helping clear trays, serve food, and monitor behavior, help coordinate logistics with teachers, facilitate ropes course and adventure components, and guide day hikes. A strong passion for outdoor activities and environmental education and previous experience working with youth in the outdoors is strongly recommended. This position starts in Mid-August and finishes in Mid-October.

Position Minimum Qualifications
- Education and/or professional background in natural resources, environmental education, or closely-related field
- Experience leading groups of youth in field-based experiential education
- Current Wilderness First Aid and CPR (adult and child) certifications by employment start date
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, outdoor working environment with regularly changing daily activities
- Ability to thrive in remote mountain setting with limited access to urban amenities
- Experience working in customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR (adult and child) certifications (by employment start date)
- Prior experience leading full-day group hikes in backcountry settings
- Experience facilitating ropes course high elements
- Experience in one or more focus areas above
- Experience living in remote mountain setting with limited access to urban amenities
- Ability to thrive in shared-living and live-in work

Duty/Responsibility
1. Provide instruction and daily guidance for attendees of the Eco-Week Program.
2. Attend and take part in all orientations to welcome arriving school groups.
3. Liaison between campus nurse and school staff/students.
4. Facilitate on Challenge Course and adventure component of program.
5. Coordinate/attend evening programs and oversee campfire type activities.
6. Oversee dining hall logistics and assist students during meal times.
7. Instruct environmental/ecology modules as part of the overall curriculum.
8. Responsible for the health and safety of the students on all-day hikes.
9. Show a positive attitude, be a good role model at all times.
10. Communicate effectively with students and school teachers/staff.
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and as required by needs of organization or attending groups.
12. Ensure high-quality customer service.
13. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions for equipment operation, safety, and policies and guidelines.
14. Meet daily scheduling requirements and accomplish all tasks in a timely fashion.
15. Attend all required trainings and meetings.
16. Learn and follow all guidelines contained in the employee handbook and crew-specific guidance/regulations.
17. Understand and follow Colorado State University policies, including the Principles of Community.
