Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Coordinates the scheduling of recreational activities to ensure optimum use of facilities shared with physical education classes,athletic commitments and other campus needs. Directs and coordinates staff and student assistants in facility preparation and equipment setup.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assigns and supervises on-site contests and special event management.

REQUIRED:

• Associate's degree

The Multicultural/Multilingual Program Manager leads the improvement of the District's Multicultural Education programs and services to support the District's goal of ensuring that every student can achieve. The Bilingual Manager supports a comprehensive program of school-based programs and stakeholders and brings community partners and the District together to achieve this goal.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Director in coordinating the development and selection of multilingual, multicultural curriculum resources and supplemental materials
• Provides classroom support to teachers in core subjects and English as a Second Language
• Assists the Executive Director in organizing and providing professional development opportunities for District staff based on current research on ESL best practices, assessments, and strategies for ELLs and modeling of effective instruction to build capacity and support schools with delivery of classroom instruction appropriate for second language learners
• Leads conversations and processes that engage principals and teachers to use all available data, including ELL student achievement data, ESL curriculum, lesson plans, ESL and second language learning teaching strategies, and other benchmark data that affect ELL student achievement in order to define the joint work of the school

• Implementing and consistently reinforcing school-wide and classroom-specific PBIS strategies, behavior expectations, reward systems, and appropriate consequences.

• Delivering differentiated and targeted instruction individually or collaboratively in a co-teaching environment to effectively meet IEP-specified educational goals.
