Position Title: Nutrition Education Program Manager

Program: Nutrition Education Program

Classification: Exempt/Full-Time

This is a grant-funded position with a fixed term of 12 months, contingent on the availability of funding.

The Nutrition Education Manager oversees the implementation of the SNAP-Ed program, leading a small

team to deliver evidence-based nutrition education and Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change strategies in partnership with community organizations. This role ensures program effectiveness, grant compliance, and long-term sustainability planning in alignment with CAP's mission.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Supervision

• Provide direction on priorities, procedures, and expectations.
• Establish clear goals for the team aligned with CAP's mission and strategic plan.
• Performance management: providing ongoing feedback, conducting employee
  • evaluations, team development, and handling progressive performance issues.
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
• Provides coaching, guidance, and performance management to staff.

Program Strategy and Implementation

• Oversee the planning and delivery of all SNAP-Ed activities.
• Conduct assessment and evaluations to track demographics and program outcomes.
• Collect and analyze data on participants, program effectiveness, and impact.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
• Support department with caseload assignments and provide coverage when necessary.

Lead Policy, Systems and Environment (PSE) Initiatives

• Serve as the lead on all PSE changes strategies.
• Design PSE interventions that are low-cost, scalable, and sustainable.
• Provide technical assistance and consultation to community partners including schools, food pantries, nonprofit service providers, and other community partners.
  • Build partner capacity to maintain PSE changes independently by providing tools, training, and implementation support tailored to their long-term goals.
  • Represent organization in community conversations, coalitions, and committees.

Program Outreach

• Build relationships with community leaders, schools, and health organizations to promote the program.
• Manage and track agreements with eligible community partners.
• Cultivate internal and external partnerships, support, or alternative funding streams (e.g., local health initiatives, school wellness grants, private foundations) that could sustain or expand nutrition education efforts
• Document and communicate success stories, outcomes, and return-on-investment of nutrition education programming.

Grant Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SNAP-Ed grant requirements, including allowable activities, documentation standards, and reporting.
• Monitor program outputs and outcomes using state-required reporting systems.
• Track expenditures and ensure alignment with grant-approved budget.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required; nutrition science or dietetics emphasis.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience with program management and operations, including budget management and reporting preferred.

MHS is seeking a Higher Education Support Specialist to inspire, advise, and guide recent MHS graduates throughout their pursuit of higher education degrees and certifications. The Specialist plays a key role in supporting and guiding recent graduates through their post-secondary experience to help increase their college persistence and completion rates. Most MHS graduates are first generation college students. This position is responsible for supporting approximately 200 college students at a variety of college campuses across the state and country.
The Specialist is responsible for:
+ Provide academic advising and academic progress monitoring for caseload of graduates attending post-secondary programs (reviewing academic schedules, academic progress, utilization of scholarship funding, and more).
+ Assist with graduate retention and persistence efforts, tracking at-risk students for focused advising and assisting with special programming for student retention
+ Maintain accurate records to monitor student progress and identify strategies for continuous improvement.
+ Utilize programmatic data and results in determining students' academic performance
+ Partnering with graduates' institutions of learning to ensure graduates are actively participating in relevant programming to ensure student success.
+ Proactively building positive and trusting relationships with recent graduates to foster transparent conversations enabling the Specialist to provide meaningful guidance, direction, and support in a timely manner to graduates.
+ Providing frequent, relevant, informative, and helpful outreach and updates to their graduate case load.
+ Visiting graduates on their post-secondary school campuses. (60% travel)
+ Periodically co-present in senior seminar courses teaching seniors about higher education and postsecondary success.
+ Collaborate with other MHS staff to organize special events, align efforts, and ensure continuity.
+ Pro-actively self-educate to ensure knowledge and strategies are current and best practices are being followed.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree required - Higher Education or School Counseling preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education, academic advising and/or working with first-generation college students.
+ Experience working with diverse and underrepresented populations.
+ Demonstrated success in inspiring & facilitating graduate success.
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills - including the ability to influence, lead, educate and collaborate.
+ Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
+ Demonstrated flexibility when plans or situations change unexpectedly.

The Education Coordinator, under the direction of the CMG Director of Medical Education, organizes, implements, and manages all Community Medical Group Clerkships with all departments at the Penn State Health St. Joseph and Lancaster Medical Centers. The Analyst II, RWD Delivery Support & Education, is a critical customer-facing role responsible for driving adoption, usability, and value realization from our real-world data (RWD) products, platforms, and associated services. This role acts as a bridge between technical teams and end users-supporting clients through education, issue resolution, and guidance to ensure the successful delivery and application of RWD in support of business and analytic goals.
**Responsibilities:**
- Customer Enablement & Support Deliver high-quality support to customers by resolving inquiries related to data access, tool usage, and platform navigation.
o Empower users to harness RWD tools strategically, enabling them to achieve their goals with efficiency and confidence.
- User Education & Onboarding
o Lead platform onboarding sessions, office hours, and hands-on trainings to ensure customers are equipped to realize value from RWD platforms and data assets.
o Support continuous learning by maintaining and enhancing educational resources and materials.
- Data & Platform Guidance
o Assist customers in understanding data structures, analytic workflows, and best practices for using their RWD tools to accelerate project execution and insights generation.
- Quality & Reliability Assurance
o Participate in testing and validation of data deliveries and platform releases to ensure readiness, accuracy, reliability, and alignment with user needs.
- Product & Service Optimization
o Monitor data deliveries, customer engagement, and customer support interactions to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to enhance user experience.
- Knowledge Management
o Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation to improve customer self-service and reduce friction in the user journey.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
o Capture recurring issues, feature requests, and customer feedback to inform product improvements, collaborating closely with Product, Data Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
**Qualifications:**
- Degree in life sciences or related fields (e.g., data science, bioinformatics, computer science, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services). Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree accepted with requisite experience.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in outcomes research, health economics, epidemiology, or consulting for life sciences companies.
- Understanding of RWD, including lab, EMR, claims, and SDoH data assets
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
- 1 - 2 years of experience querying large real-world data databases; intermediate level SQL proficiency preferred
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem solving and structured communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and work ethic

_The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus._
