The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher provides specialized physical education services to students with disabilities from kindergarten through grade 12. The APE Teacher is responsible for assessing motor development, designing and implementing individualized physical education programs, and collaborating with IEP teams, general education staff, and families to support student progress in physical and motor fitness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conduct assessments to determine eligibility and needs for adapted physical education services.
+ Develop and implement individualized physical education programs aligned with students' IEP goals.
+ Provide direct instruction in motor development, physical fitness, and recreational skills.
+ Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other service providers to integrate physical education goals.
+ Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.
+ Maintain accurate records of student progress and program effectiveness.
+ Serve as a resource to general education staff regarding physical education adaptations.
+ Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field (required).
Master's degree (preferred).
+ Credentialing:
Valid California Teaching Credential in Physical Education with an Adaptive Physical Education Added Authorization or APE Specialist Credential (required). (ctc.ca.gov) ( Experience:
Minimum of one year experience in a teaching or educational setting (preferred).
Experience working with students with disabilities in physical education settings (preferred).

The County of Riverside Behavioral Health Department's (HHOPE) Homeless Housing Opportunities, Partnerships & Education program is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Services Supervisor. The program is dedicated to reducing and preventing homelessness in Riverside County through a comprehensive, integrated approach that combines housing and behavioral health services. Our objective is to engage, stabilize, and support individuals and families experiencing homelessness by connecting them to permanent housing, healthcare, and community-based supports.
Supervisors within HHOPE play a vital role in advancing this mission by leading multidisciplinary teams that deliver high-quality, person-centered care. They ensure program fidelity, promote collaboration with internal and external partners, and uphold HHOPE's commitment to equity, innovation, and outcomes that foster long-term housing stability and wellness for all participants. The position requires occasional fieldwork; therefore, a valid California Driver's License is mandatory. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
We are looking for candidates who  
- Are Licensed professionals (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
- Have a minimum of two years post-licensure experience
- Have strong computer and organizational skills
- Have supervisory/lead experience
For this recruitment, the position is eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours physically worked. At any time, this differential can be removed.
The certification list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill other future Behavioral Health Service Supervisor vacancies within Behavioral Health that may occur in the coming weeks.
Meet the Team! 
 RUHS-Behavioral Health
- Supervise and support daily operations of assigned teams, including Street Outreach, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports (CS), and grant-funded positions.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure effective service delivery, adherence to program standards, and achievement of contract deliverables.
- Monitor staff performance through regular supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and professional development plans.
- Coordinate workflow and staffing coverage to maintain consistent field presence and office operations, including scheduling, approving timecards, and managing time-off requests.
- Oversee documentation and reporting in systems such as HMIS, ELMR, and EPIC to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Track grant objectives and expenditures , working collaboratively with leadership to ensure programs operate within budget and meet outcome targets.
- Facilitate communication across interdisciplinary teams, community partners, and internal departments to promote coordinated care and efficient service delivery.
- Respond to field and program needs by providing guidance on complex cases, crisis intervention, and linkage to appropriate internal or community resources.
- Ensure compliance with all county, state, and federal program guidelines, including data privacy, safety, and documentation standards.
- Lead or participate in case conferencing, team meetings, and staff trainings to reinforce best practices in outreach, engagement, and client-centered care.
- Represent the program at community meetings, stakeholder events, and collaborative initiatives to enhance visibility and strengthen partnerships.
Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health treatment services, social and rehabilitation services, and consultation and education services to consumers, public and private agencies, and the community.
Evaluate overall unit activities, including methods and procedures for effectiveness and consistency with program goals and objectives,; recommending and implementing changes in program, policies, and procedures as necessary.
Evaluate performance of personnel and take or recommend appropriate course of action; interview, select, and recommend the hiring of new staff members.
Provide guidance to subordinates on departmental philosophy, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review; assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs.
Make or review decisions on difficult consumer assessment and casework matters.
Work with other public, private, and community organizations providing health and human services to mentally and emotionally disabled individuals to gain and ensure cooperation in order to achieve program goals; participate in behavioral health conferences and local area committees; may participate in regional or countywide community needs assessment and program planning development and evaluation activities.
Assist in preparing annual budget requirements and monitor expenditures to ensure unit is within funding provisions; prepare reports and correspondence regarding workload statistics, casework and unit methods, and procedures. Experience: Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community.
License: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
Candidates recruited from out-of-state must possess an out-of-state license to practice in one of the above stated options. Individuals hired under this option shall obtain their license to practice issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within three years of date of hire. During the interim three years, the incumbent shall be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver Request approved by the State of California Health and Human Services Agency.
Candidates qualifying with the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor option must have completed additional education and training as defined below:
1) Six semester units or nine quarter units specifically focused on the theory and application of marriage and family therapy, OR a named specialization or emphasis area on the qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy, marital and family therapy, marriage, family, and child counseling, or couple and family therapy;
2) No less than 500 hours of documented supervised experience working directly with couples, families, or children; and
3) A minimum of six hours of continuing education specific to marriage and family therapy, completed in each license renewal cycle.License: Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required.
