Salary Range: $78,773.63 - $122,099.12 (Salary range will be prorated based on hours worked).
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Education Specialist to utilize their expertise in achieving our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that values education, performance consulting, and effective leadership while collaborating with our hospital staff and community members.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 08:00-4:30pm with occasional off-shift and weekend rotation to support educational needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting preceptors in designing orientation programs for new staff.
- Overseeing staff orientation and ongoing development initiatives.
- Implementing conflict resolution principles and fostering consensus building.
- Representing Case Management/Social Work in organizational committee meetings as required.
- Acting as a liaison with executive leadership and connecting with continuum of care providers and public agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Assisting in the formulation of policies, procedures, and standards of care while monitoring the adherence to these standards.
- Exhibiting advanced knowledge of applicable laws and regulations such as CMS, DOH, OMH, and OPWDD.
- Ensuring efficient service provision within regulatory and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree (MS-Nursing strongly preferred).
- Board Certification in relevant specialty preferred.
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Education with a BS in Nursing, or an allied health field from an accredited institution is required.
- 3 - 5 years of direct critical care experience preferred.
- Experience in Clinical Social Work or Nursing with a focus on Case Management, Utilization Review, and Discharge Planning.
- BLS Certification.
- Demonstrated clinical competency and preferably experience in education program development and teaching.
- Ability to create collaborative relationships both internally and with external partners.
- Strong skills in organizational tasks, written and oral communication, problem-solving, program development, and team leadership.
The Clinical Education Specialist has a key role in leading and supporting high performing staff through the development of relevant educational activities, ensuring they meet the needs of our nursing organization.
Additional Information:
The ideal candidate will have Pediatric nursing experience; however, candidates without pediatric experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered.
