Location: Cassopolis, MI
Pay Rate: $40.00 $50.00 per hour
Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cassopolis, MI. This full-time role supports a caseload of approximately 8 students . While an Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement is preferred, candidates with a valid Michigan Special Education endorsement may also be considered under temporary approval.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs.
Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers.
Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
EI endorsement strongly preferred (temporary approval possible for Special Ed endorsement holders).
Experience working with students with emotional impairments or related exceptionalities.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
