Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking to hire a Special Education Teacher provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12, through a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Responsibilities
+ Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members.
+ Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum.
+ Serves as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff.
+ Monitors student progress, participates in review and revision of student's IEP, as appropriate.
+ Other Special Education Teacher related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university with an emphasis in appropriate field preferred.
+ Transcripts Preferred.
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, and Standard Special Teaching preferred.
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
+ Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
+ Current TB results and/or chest X-ray.

**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
The Registered Nurse Educator II supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The RN Nurse Educator II promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals. The RN Educator II will identify outcomes of educational interventions based on input from learners and stakeholders, evidence, regulations and organizational goals.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent bachelor's degree with a nursing major from an accredited institution.
+ At least three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse in the specialty area(s)
+ Must obtain a master's degree in nursing or a related field within five (5) years of hire
+ Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
+ AHA BLS required by the end of the orientation period

+ NPD-BC preferred
