**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Participates in organizational analysis consulting projects for school districts and state education agencies.·

Nemours is seeking an Education Events Coordinator! This position is a hybrid role and in Wilmington, Delaware. The role is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of Nemours educational events in accordance with all Nemours policies and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accreditation requirements. Job functions include designing educational needs assessment tools, developing behavioral objectives, designing/implementing CME events and evaluating course outcomes with the goal of improving care. The Education Events Coordinator is responsible for completing documentation of the educational process and event (including but not limited to financials). The Education Events Coordinator serves as an education consultant to physician event directors, manages event budgets and finances, develops and implements effective course marketing plans, negotiates contracts, and executes and documents the course planning process. Central to the success of the continuing medical educational activity is effective and timely project management.

Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate logistics of educational events under the direction of the Manager.
  • Plan and execute educational events in collaboration with the program director/planning committee.
  • Develop timeline and ensure deadlines for deliverables are met.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing plan and materials.
  • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure fair and reasonable pricing on all goods and services relative to event management, including site selection, audiovisual needs, food and beverage, etc.
  • Communicate regularly, in writing and orally, with faculty, program chairs and program attendees to assure coordination of information necessary for a successful event.
  • Manage all events - attendance, expenses, income, CE credit - in Learning Management System.
  • Interface with industry representatives (pharmaceutical and/or device manufacturers) to arrange for commercial support for educational programs in compliance with Joint Accreditation guidelines.
  • Maintains financial oversight of educational programs to ensure that costs are within budget, and opportunities for revenue (exhibitors, commercial support) are maximized.
  • Ensure compliance with all Joint Accreditation and AMA requirements, including but not limited to, conflict of interest resolution, letters of agreement with commercial supporters, appropriate disclosure, etc.
  • Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Certification as a Meeting Professional (CMP or CMMP) in lieu of degree requirement at manager's discretion
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), CMMP (Certified Medical Meeting Professional) preferred
  • Successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating and planning meetings or events in a professional environment.

JOB SUMMARY

Position Title: Nutrition Education Program Manager

Program: Nutrition Education Program

Classification: Exempt/Full-Time

This is a grant-funded position with a fixed term of 12 months, contingent on the availability of funding.

The Nutrition Education Manager oversees the implementation of the SNAP-Ed program, leading a small

team to deliver evidence-based nutrition education and Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change strategies in partnership with community organizations. This role ensures program effectiveness, grant compliance, and long-term sustainability planning in alignment with CAP's mission.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Supervision
  • Provide direction on priorities, procedures, and expectations.
  • Establish clear goals for the team aligned with CAP's mission and strategic plan.
  • Performance management: providing ongoing feedback, conducting employee
    • evaluations, team development, and handling progressive performance issues.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, and performance management to staff.
Program Strategy and Implementation
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of all SNAP-Ed activities.
  • Conduct assessment and evaluations to track demographics and program outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze data on participants, program effectiveness, and impact.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Support department with caseload assignments and provide coverage when necessary.
Lead Policy, Systems and Environment (PSE) Initiatives
  • Serve as the lead on all PSE changes strategies.
  • Design PSE interventions that are low-cost, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to community partners including schools, food pantries, nonprofit service providers, and other community partners.
    • Build partner capacity to maintain PSE changes independently by providing tools, training, and implementation support tailored to their long-term goals.
    • Represent organization in community conversations, coalitions, and committees.
Program Outreach
  • Build relationships with community leaders, schools, and health organizations to promote the program.
  • Manage and track agreements with eligible community partners.
  • Cultivate internal and external partnerships, support, or alternative funding streams (e.g., local health initiatives, school wellness grants, private foundations) that could sustain or expand nutrition education efforts
  • Document and communicate success stories, outcomes, and return-on-investment of nutrition education programming.
Grant Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with SNAP-Ed grant requirements, including allowable activities, documentation standards, and reporting.
  • Monitor program outputs and outcomes using state-required reporting systems.
  • Track expenditures and ensure alignment with grant-approved budget.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree required; nutrition science or dietetics emphasis.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience with program management and operations, including budget management and reporting preferred.

Harford Community College's Workforce and Community Education sector is seeking qualified Youth Programming & Education Instructors. The College offers Youth Programs in a variety of subjects including, but not limited to, music, art, theater, science, technology, math, literacy, physical education, etc. Youth Programming is offered yearly for children ages 3-18. Programs are available on weekends, evenings, and week days.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Nemours is seeking a Senior Simulation Education Specialist to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE.

The Senior Simulation Education Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day educational activities and operations of the Simulation Center. This position reports to and supports the Medical Director of Simulation by providing input to overall program development, budget, supervision of simulation support staff, and supervision of simulation-based educational activities. The Senior Simulation Education Specialist will also 1) coach, mentor, and develop Nemours Institute for Clinical Excellence educators and simulation facilitators; 2) lead the advancement of innovative simulation-based educational curricula; and 3) maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate the educational activities of Nemours Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and prioritize current resources to ensure that the mission, vision, and goals of Nemours and NICE are achieved.
  • Coordinate scheduling of simulation-based education programs by working with department leadership to establish high level priorities and maximize operational time.
  • Oversee and support the development and advancement of curricula that align learning objectives, simulation-based principles, technology, and outcome measures.
  • Audit participant records to ensure that standards are met. Utilize feedback from participants and instructors to improve scenarios, courses, curricula, and programs.
  • Lead staffing efforts and conduct interviews to hire new employees for needed roles.
  • Supervise simulation support staff, ensuring that all work meets deadlines and standards for quality and accuracy. Coach, mentor, and develop staff across functional areas. Coach staff on professional development. Conduct regularly scheduled staff performance reviews.
  • Support NICE's growth and help advance NICE's immediate and long-term teaching/education, systems integration, assessment, and academic goals.
  • Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.
  • Qualifications

    Master's Degree required; education concentration preferred

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association is required within 90 days of start date.

    Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified through the American Heart Association is required within 90 days of start date.
