As a **Security Officer - Education Patrols** in **Rocky Mount, NC** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond to incidents as they arise, and support a positive atmosphere on campus. **What You'll Do:**
+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the educational location.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
+ Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with campus personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
+ Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident documentation.
+ Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to changing conditions and needs within the educational environment.

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
