**Position Summary:**
The Education Coordinator will oversee the MCHRI's DRIVE in Research Pathway Program, which aims to engage undergraduate students in maternal and child health research, monthly Seminar Series, annual research symposium, as well as its Team Science and Translational Research programming. This role encompasses comprehensive program administration, including recruitment of faculty mentors and students, mentor-student matching, and curriculum development in collaboration with MCHRI leadership. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to foster an inclusive environment that supports learner engagement and professional development.
**Job Duties:**
The EducationCoordinatoris a diverse role that requires a demonstrated skillset in strategic planning and management for the design and implementation of educational programs and excellent relationship building skills.Core responsibilities of this role include:
**_Project management:_**
+ Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, and monitoring progress of tasks, activities, milestones, and deliverables utilizing a complex online project management system.
+ Follow up with internal team members and external stakeholders on scheduled project tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
+ Compile data and generate reports and metrics related to gender integration projects.
+ Support the contracting/set-up of new biotechnology training sites into the Stanford system and develop appropriate learning plans.
+ Manage the approvals process of related expenditures and other program costs.
+ Manage and update online reporting and dashboards to communicate and visualize project results and metrics.
+ Develop additional systems and processes to trackproject plans,milestones and results as needed.
+ Provide advice and guidance to the team to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the project team and use of resources toachieve project outcomes.
+ Contribute to the design and creation of educational content.

+ Support knowledge management initiatives to strengthen the design, tracking, delivery, and accessibility of communications and documents across the team.

Job Description
Health Education Assistants maintain daily operation of the health education center and programs. They provide program support and assistance to the department, internal and external customers. They assist members, physicians, staff, instructors and community members in utilization of health education services, patient resources, and online technology tools.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Provides excellent customer service that support behavior change, health promotion and organizational priorities.
+ Assesses individual patients needs, consults and recommends appropriate health education resources/services.
+ Manage and process referrals to Health Education and book and register patients to appropriate health education resources and services.
+ Respond to member requests, answer department phone and refer to other services or departments as needed.
+ Conducts basic presentations (non-clinical) on health education member resources.
+ Provides programmatic support for clinical initiatives that support department goals.
+ Maintains daily operation of the Health Education Center(s) and Health Education classes, programs and initiatives.
+ Coordinates Health Education class and program logistics and promotional materials (e.g. conduct reminder calls or secure messages).
+ Support one to one appointments with Educators by booking, rooming, and providing support scheduling and appointment availability by uploading information into KP booking system.
+ Registration and recovery registration of health education classes and one to one appointments.
+ Orders supplies; stock Health Education Centers; track inventory, vendor management.
+ Process sales and class fees, cash handling, inventory management.
+ Document services provided by Health Education using internal KP clinical systems.
+ Assists members in the utilization of Kaiser Permanente member-facing technology tools
+ Patients are active on member facing online tools and utilize telehealth services
+ Educate and orient members on member-facing technology tools (My Doctor Online, online videos, and phone applications) including kp.org registration and taking member photo.
+ Coordinate work of health education volunteers and interns.
+ Ensure all volunteer staff are engaged and support the mission and goals of Health Education department.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Minimum of one (1) year of full time or two (2) years of part time experience in the last five (5) years in Health Education or a customer/patient service area in a health care setting.
Education
+ Associates degree required in Health Sciences or in a related field.
+ High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
+ N/A
Additional Requirements:
+ Must pass Intermediate level MS Office, Word, Excel and Power Point test.
+ Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written.
+ The role may require working across different medical center/facilities within the same Service Area.
+ Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree preferred in health care related field.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
Valid state license or certification for Extensive Support Needs Education Specialist
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will:
Provide direct/group instructions to students with disabilities
Develop lesson plans/instructional material to meet needs of students IEP
Conduct educational assessments
