Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Education Manager assists with the negotiation and arrangement of clinical experiences for all students enrolled in prelicensure nursing programs. In addition, this position provides oversight of the clinical experience to effectively integrate standardized clinical learning activities and student evaluation.
Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and supervise the operation of clinical experiences to provide clinical learning experiences according to established learning outcomes.
2. Assists faculty and staff with preparation for clinical experiences including required clinical compliance documentation for students and faculty as well as facility-specific orientation requirements according to facility deadlines.
3. May serve as faculty substitute in the facilitation of clinical experiences as needed.
4. Assists with standardized clinical faculty and staff orientation and development in collaboration with campus and college leadership.
5. Establishes and maintains relationship with representatives of clinical agencies to maintain a variety of clinical sites appropriate for student learning outcomes.
6. Oversees and assists with hiring, performance appraisal, and mentoring of clinical faculty and staff under the direction of campus leadership.
7. Assists with negotiating and arranging clinical experiences in alignment with the established clinical site selection criteria.
8. Identifies agencies for clinical experience that are appropriate to support course student learning outcomes and collaborates with campus leadership to establish clinical learning opportunities.
9. Oversees clinical site development and clinical scheduling to enhance nursing student experiences.
10. Oversees the implementation of clinical experience surveys in collaboration with College and Campus clinical learning leadership for continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
11. Performs walkthrough surveys of clinical sites and experiences and reports findings to college and campus leadership.
12. Makes recommendations for curriculum and clinical learning activity changes to the curriculum council and the Director of Clinical Learning based on research and identified needs identified when performing oversight in the clinical learning environment.
13. Communicates and integrates college-wide policy and process changes regarding clinical learning standardization and implementation.
14. Attends Student Advisory Committee meetings and reports feedback to college and campus leadership for the purpose of continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
15. Assists with the resolution of student and/or faculty concerns regarding clinical experiences in collaboration with college and campus leadership according to established policy and processes.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
+ Education: Minimum qualification of an MSN, or a BSN with at least two (2) years' experience in clinical education, with nursing background and knowledge that includes an understanding of the educational objectives and experiences of student nurses, an understanding of the clinical practice of nursing, knowledge of the diverse organizational environments in which nurses practice, and knowledge of the types of clinical sites needed to meet course content and objectives.
+ Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state as a Registered Nurse.
+ Special Qualifications: At least two (2) years of recent clinical experience, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interpret learning experience needs of students and match them to the capabilities of clinical placement agencies, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to be creative and innovative, and proficient computer skills in order to collect and analyze data. Must agree to obtain CNEcl certification within one (1) year of acceptance of position.

About the Role
HESI Content Specialist assists the Director of HESI Content and HESI content team with the development and deployment of market critical, innovative HESI content such as Medication Safety, and HESI secure content. These products play a key role in the adoption of Elsevier's market leading franchise products that serve the Nursing and Heath Education faculty and students.
This individual manages assigned digital content from inception to production release utilizing digital content workflows, authoring tools and technologies as appropriate. Serves as the day-to-day contact for internal and external HESI content development partners including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Designers (IDs), and global content vendors throughout the development process.
Responsibilities
+ Works with the Director of HESI Content, planning digital content development, deployment and delivery cadence
+ Plays a key role in meetings with the internal and external content development partners/experts ensuring on time delivery
+ Identifies potential issues and works with the Director of HESI Content to find alternative approaches to mitigate risks
+ Manages and consolidates reviews from SMEs. Queries SMEs and outsourced vendors as appropriate to ensure quality on-time content delivery
+ Collaborates with the Director of HESI Content and other internal participants to develop and/or brings forth suggestions for improving existing writing, assessment, and instructional design guidelines
+ Performs high-level content reviews/provides editorial oversight for various types of content objects such as Outlines, assessment and other types of Nursing Education content.
+ Develops and maintains editorial guidelines and style manuals; maintains high editorial standards, ensuring clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy in all content.
+ Coordinates delivery of build content and oversee UAT fixes and ensures high- quality content delivery
Requirements
+ Have a B.A./B.S. in English or related area.
+ Possess two or more years' experience with eContent development preferably in Nursing and related areas.
+ Experience with Digital/Interactive content development (online courses, multimedia, etc.) a plus.
+ Be a self-starter with excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
+ Be flexible and creative in your approach to problem solving. Be resourceful, decisive, with attention to detail.
+ Have the ability to foresee and avert problems. Interact professionally with SMEs and colleagues.
+ Be able to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
+ Demonstrate ability to work through high velocity situations with confidence.
+ Take ownership of projects throughout the content development process.
+ Have knowledge of publishing process and MS Office. Some familiarity with EPUB, HTML5, HTML, and XML. Be familiar with authoring environments.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $58,000 - $6,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
If performed in Ohio, the pay range is 55,100 - 91,900.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Vice President of Clinical Education is responsible for the execution of strategies to advance clinical education structures and processes in the assigned division and facilities that support all lines of business in executing HCA's nursing and clinical agenda. The VP of Clinical Education drives positive change by providing leadership through performance improvement strategies that advance and support clinical education throughout HCA, leading to enhanced quality and financial outcomes. The VP of Clinical Education uses broad enterprise and segment influence and builds alliances with corporate, division, facility, and the Clinical Education team to successfully execute HCA's clinical education agenda.
**What you will do:**
+ Cultivates a superior clinical identity by supporting the clinical education team in operationalizing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care.
+ Ensures that the clinical education team develops educational content that meets the accreditation standards of the Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid, and similar organizations from an educational perspective.
+ Establishes expectations and accountability for delivery of clinical education services and practices that create a patient-centered organization, driven by customer feedback and data.
+ Ensures efficient and effective development and delivery of quality clinical education content and programs to drive improved clinical metrics.
+ Fosters a Service Excellence culture.

Education & Experience:
+ Master's Degree in Nursing or Education Required
+ Doctorate Degree in Nursing or Education Preferred
+ 5+ years' experience in an acute care setting Required
+ 2+ years' experience in clinical education, organizational development, or human resources Required
+ Experience in leading a clinical change initiative Required
Licensure, Certifications, Training:
+ If applicable, currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Required
+ Certified Nurse Educator Preferred
+ Certification from the Association of Nursing Professional Development Preferred
