Qualifications

As a Project Manager on the Perkins&Will team, you will:

  • Assist in preparation of drawings for schematic design, design development, and contract documents
  • Function as the primary contact for all communication between the client and Perkins&Will, ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and management of business issues including contracts and additional services.
  • Assist with or have direct responsibility for design, translating client requirements to design criteria from conceptual design through installation
  • Manage the project team, keeping everyone on task and on time
  • Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and vendor assignments
  • Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversight

  • A professional degree in Architecture OR Interior Design, or related discipline

  • Advanced knowledge of project design process, construction documentation & administration
  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationship and build new ones
  • Experience negotiating and managing project scope and fees as well as risk management and financial accountability
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of junior staff
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Clinical Education Manager assists with the negotiation and arrangement of clinical experiences for all students enrolled in prelicensure nursing programs. In addition, this position provides oversight of the clinical experience to effectively integrate standardized clinical learning activities and student evaluation.
Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and supervise the operation of clinical experiences to provide clinical learning experiences according to established learning outcomes.
2. Assists faculty and staff with preparation for clinical experiences including required clinical compliance documentation for students and faculty as well as facility-specific orientation requirements according to facility deadlines.
3. May serve as faculty substitute in the facilitation of clinical experiences as needed.
4. Assists with standardized clinical faculty and staff orientation and development in collaboration with campus and college leadership.
5. Establishes and maintains relationship with representatives of clinical agencies to maintain a variety of clinical sites appropriate for student learning outcomes.
6. Oversees and assists with hiring, performance appraisal, and mentoring of clinical faculty and staff under the direction of campus leadership.
7. Assists with negotiating and arranging clinical experiences in alignment with the established clinical site selection criteria.
8. Identifies agencies for clinical experience that are appropriate to support course student learning outcomes and collaborates with campus leadership to establish clinical learning opportunities.
9. Oversees clinical site development and clinical scheduling to enhance nursing student experiences.
10. Oversees the implementation of clinical experience surveys in collaboration with College and Campus clinical learning leadership for continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
11. Performs walkthrough surveys of clinical sites and experiences and reports findings to college and campus leadership.
12. Makes recommendations for curriculum and clinical learning activity changes to the curriculum council and the Director of Clinical Learning based on research and identified needs identified when performing oversight in the clinical learning environment.
13. Communicates and integrates college-wide policy and process changes regarding clinical learning standardization and implementation.
14. Attends Student Advisory Committee meetings and reports feedback to college and campus leadership for the purpose of continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
15. Assists with the resolution of student and/or faculty concerns regarding clinical experiences in collaboration with college and campus leadership according to established policy and processes.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
+ Education: Minimum qualification of an MSN, or a BSN with at least two (2) years' experience in clinical education, with nursing background and knowledge that includes an understanding of the educational objectives and experiences of student nurses, an understanding of the clinical practice of nursing, knowledge of the diverse organizational environments in which nurses practice, and knowledge of the types of clinical sites needed to meet course content and objectives.
+ Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state as a Registered Nurse.
+ Special Qualifications: At least two (2) years of recent clinical experience, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interpret learning experience needs of students and match them to the capabilities of clinical placement agencies, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to be creative and innovative, and proficient computer skills in order to collect and analyze data. Must agree to obtain CNEcl certification within one (1) year of acceptance of position.

**Job Roles:**
+ Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of the department budget.Oversees the monthly analysis of the budget, evaluates opportunities for potential savings.
+ Assists with and supports compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards as directed by regulatory and accrediting agencies. Consistently provides education to staff upon hire and as needed thereafter.
+ Guides the NEPD Department in the development of departmental goals in keeping with Methodist strategic goals.
+ Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with all departments and staff; works collaboratively with system NEPD departments.
+ Identifies, plans, implements and evaluates orientation/educational programs for staff and other hospital personnel, which may include, but not limited to:
+ Facilitating and coordinating availability based on identified needs
+ Facilitating and coordinating availability and use of audio/visual equipment and teaching tools to staff.
+ Maintaining appropriate materials, supplies and equipment to support departmental functions.
+ Reviews quality improvement data to identify trends
+ Reviews staff and management requests
+ Reviews and revises orientation/educational programs to incorporate changes in identified needs, advances in technologies, health care trends, updated policies and guidelines and quality improvement issues.
+ Conducts, attends, and participates in department and committee meetings. Maintains committee records/files, as required by committee participation. Coordinates distribution of written documentation for assigned committees.
+ Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, conferences related to the practice of nursing
+ Functions as a consultant/resource within the organization and/or community to assist with staff/patient/customer education
+ Foster and maintain collegial relationship with all affiliating colleges and universities and their nursing programs. Foster positive and open communication with all nursing programs affiliates
+ Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Transition to Practice Programs such as Nurse Residency, Nurse Fellowship, Nurse Externships, and Internships.

Key responsibilities include project management, planning and design, design team leadership, client and consultant coordination, and budget, scope, and schedule compliance. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and communicate with subcontractors and vendors for the successful execution and delivery of projects.
  • Ability to work upstream and downstream during project progression and collaborates successfully with Design Director and Principal in Charge.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, while providing leadership to include professional development and mentoring of staff.
  • Assist senior management in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services and consultant contracts.
  • Consult with client to determine function and special requirements and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
  • Consistently provide complete and timely communication of project information between client and internal project teams as well as consultants, contractors, to ensure project details and technical or critical issues are carried out at all levels of contract administration.
  • Ability to Design and deliver sustainability to client.
  • Consistent technical and client engagement at every opportunity.
  • Responsible for managing project using the Deltek Vision tools; complete work plans per standard processes and format, including budget, project scope, consultants, schedule for completion, fees and costs as well as additional services or other actions.
  • Assist in preparation of project presentations and conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions with clients and consultants.
  • Review documents for adherence to building and accessibility codes. Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set forth by Hoefer Welker.
  • Responsible for construction document adherence to design intent and financial profitability of projects.
  • Ensures Quality Assurance Program is initiated and adhered to through the life of the project.
  • Identifies new business opportunities, listens for and seeks out new projects which may exist or are being formulated, while developing current client relationships.
  • Participate in select marketing and business development opportunities and assist in development of fee proposals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and applicable agencies.
Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience, Master's degree preferred. Minimum 8-10 years experience in architectural practice as a project manager on various projects in all phases. Experience in design-build, developer driven focus preferred. Experience on Higher Education projects required.

Certifications/Registration:
  • Architectural registration required with current license, NCARB registration preferred. LEED Green Associate Accreditation desired.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the courses of employment.
Qualifications:

Candidate must be proficient in Revit, TonicDM, and Microsoft Office. Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge a plus. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, meet deadlines, and have strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application and manufacturer-suppler appropriateness. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Position Overview

HDR is seeking a Project Manager to join our Education, Science, and Community Architecture Practice. The Project Manager will:

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle (from development to close-out).
  • Manage all aspects of small to medium complex projects or routine large projects.
  • Handle multiple small to medium projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate directly with Principals to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings to establish and sustain client relations.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor project budgets and adjust work efforts to stay within financial parameters.
  • Work with leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Travel to client/project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in higher education and/or research laboratory projects.
  • Interest and/or experience in sustainable design/LEED.
  • PMP certification.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • At least 7 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Ability to lead project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Strong planning and mentoring skills.
