We are currently seeking Early Childhood Special Education Teachers in the following areas:

Goshen, NY; Wappinger, NY; Sugar Loaf, NY; Ulster County

Liberty POST is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for per diem employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available.

We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Evaluate, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Test and evaluate child’s abilities to determine realistic goals.
  • Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports.
  • Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
  • Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Current New York State Licensure and/or Certification in Special Education
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computer systems
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Early Childhood Experience
  • NYS Teaching certification in B-2^nd grade students with disabilities (or permanent certification in Special Education)
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Evaluation: $40- 145

Clinical Education Assessment Coordinator

The Clinical Education Assessment Coordinator will coordinate and support all student-related assessments and programs during the clinical years (years three and four) not directly related to their clinical rotations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate NBOME COMAT exams and report and post scores
  • Coordinate NBOME Level 2 Board examination preparation including: scheduling of COMBANK assessments, scheduling of COMSAE assessments, providing exam approvals, & coordinating remediation efforts.
  • Assist in coordination and follow up of off cycle students not currently on rotations
  • Liaison with COM Learning Specialist to support students as needed
  • Assign and track all required Aquifer course assignments for all clinical students
  • Report all COMAT and Aquifer requirements for grade submission
  • Distribute and track student Interprofessional Education requirement
  • All other clerical tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • General administrative duties required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty and colleagues required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-organized and effective time management
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Position requires to travel as part of ongoing orientation, training and education, as well as to perform UAS-NY assessments on an as needed basis.Conduct Enrollment Visits follow up for HF nurses and business partners, including NTUC note completion, Visit Outcome Follow Up. Assist with completion of Deferral Calls, and Transfer Calls and notify appropriate parties of outcome. Maintain accurate productivity log of Enrollment processes follow-up. Prepare for RFS (Request for Service) and IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) meetings by conducting UAS-NY assessment review and relevant documentation conducted by core field staff and business partners to ensure correlation within the assessment and validation of Tasking Tool completion. Participate in RFS and IDT meetings, follow-ups with Assessment Nurses if documentations’ amendments are required. Identifies inconsistencies trends and provides suggestions for corrective action plan for identified assessment deficiencies to Field Assessment management. 

•  Baccalaureate degree in nursing required

•  Master's degree in nursing, education or related field preferred

•  Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience required

•  Managed Care experience preferred

•  Requires a NYS Registered Nurse license and registration
