Job Summary:
The Clinical Education Support Specialist has a clinical role and a non-clinical role. The clinical role is the role of the dental assistant in a clinical practice, including patient care and general clinic administrative procedures, and maintenance. The non-clinical role is aimed at supporting education courses, including enrolling students, shipping/receiving, and administrative-related course responsibilities, and placing orders in a procurement system. Under the direction of the Las Vegas Global Education Center Manager & Chief Clinical Officer, the specialist role works closely with the education, marketing, and sales teams to facilitate enrollment, participation, and organize education course fulfillment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clinical dental assisting activities - 25% of the time
- Supports dental care delivery by preparing the treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
- Performs procedures in compliance with the State of Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners, including restorative and/or surgical procedures.
- Prepares the treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocol; readies patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients.
- Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
- Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for the dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments.
- Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth.
- Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographs.
- Is actively involved with laboratory procedures, including pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts, intraoral scanning, and denture services.
- Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Helps the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations in accordance with the Dental Board of Nevada.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Is comfortable in an educational environment, including video recording, photography, and providing patient care in front of an audience.
- Support education and education courses - 75 % of the time
- Maintain inventory, process, and organize commercial and education hands-on materials.
- Coordinate, organize, and assist management of shipping and receiving, and any other materials for education courses.
- Perform mailing duties of advertisements, brochures, technical information, etc.
- Monitor, assist, and coordinate education courses and related social activities.
- Produce models, dentures, and other hands-on related materials for assisting commercial & education teams.
- Participate in workshops and educational courses, including presenting, speaking, and engaging with prospective customers and partners at industry events, giving them a full understanding of the company's solution and business.
- Collaborate with the Global Education Center Manager, Tradeshow and Events Assistant Manager, and education/clinical teams on education courses.

- When needed, be available for weekday evening, Saturday, and Sunday education course programs and/or activities.
Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:
- Completion of a certified dental assistant training program required; preference for licensure as a registered dental assistant (RDA).
- Preference for at least 2 years of clinical experience as a dental assistant; experience with implant dentistry, surgical, and restorative procedures preferred.
- Radiographic certification is required.
- The ideal candidate possesses the 3 Ps (Professionalism, Patience, and a “People-First” attitude).
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required.
- E-commerce, Magento, and Zoho Desk experience preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable working independently and be a strong team player.

BASIC PURPOSE
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to placing them in appropriate roles, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for both candidates and clients. They build sound relationships with candidates, generate referrals, and prospect new candidates through independent recruiting strategies. The Recruiter must meet the companys expected metrics and KPIs by producing quality candidates for open job orders. Essential Functions
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies (e.g., social media, job boards, networking, referrals) to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by utilizing various platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, niche job boards) and targeted outreach.
- Regularly review open job orders and proactively source candidates for immediate and future staffing needs.
- Leverage outside-the-box techniques to expand candidate pools and maintain a steady flow of qualified candidates.

- Experience with both temporary/contract and permanent placements is preferred.

As a _Director of Clinical Education_ at Galen College of Nursing, you will To negotiate, arrange, and evaluate clinical experiences for all students enrolled in the Galen College nursing programs which positively support curriculum outcomes according to organizational mission and values.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Clinical Site Development & Support**
1. Negotiates and arranges clinical experiences which meet the educational requirements for students in all nursing programs including clinical site development and evaluation, clinical scheduling, and clinical oversight to enhance nursing student experiences in the care of patients.
2. Maintains and monitors clinical contract documentation to ensure that records are current and comply with regulatory standards for clinical experiences.
3. Establishes and maintains relationships with clinical agency representatives to ensure that a variety of clinical practice sites are available for student learning and application of clinical practice.
4. Research and recommend appropriate agencies that meet the identified educational requirements for clinical experiences for nursing students.
5. Coordinates and implements new clinical orientation requirements.
6. Conducts and reviews written evaluations of clinical placements to assess the agencies' ability to meet educational needs in collaboration with theory and clinical faculty.
7. Attends and supports regular Galen College Advisory Board meetings.
8. Responsible for providing regular updates to campus leadership regarding clinical availability and appropriateness of clinical experiences for both the students and faculty.
**Faculty Development & Support**
1. Coordinates placement of faculty in clinical agency sites with input from campus leadership and consistent with curriculum requirements and faculty areas of expertise/credentials.
2. Coordinates and implements new clinical faculty orientation.
3. Conducts routine on-site evaluation of clinical faculty effectiveness in support of student learning and curriculum outcome requirements at least annually.
4. Communicates and coordinates clinical faculty development needs based on documented evaluation analysis.
5. Assists campus leadership to arrange and provide regular communication links between theory and clinical faculty.
6. Maintains an electronic database for the coordination and assignment of faculty workload consistent with curriculum and human resource requirements.
**Student Evaluation & Support**
1. Provides problem-solving skills in support of student learning during clinical agency experiences.
2. Conducts and reports follow up evaluations of graduates placed in facilities six months post-graduation.
3. Ensures that proper documentation has been completed regarding each student's clinical experience.
**Position Requirements:**
**Unencumbered Licensure** : Applicable State as a Registered Nurse
**Education:** Minimum qualification of an MSN, Doctorate preferred with nursing background and knowledge that includes an understanding of the educational objectives and experiences of student nurses, an understanding of the clinical practice of nursing, knowledge of the diverse organizational environments in which nurses practice, and knowledge of the types of clinical sites needed to meet course content and objectives.
**Special Qualifications:** Three (3) years of recent clinical experience, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interpret learning experience needs of students and match them to the capabilities of clinical placement agencies, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to be creative and innovative, and proficient computer skills to collect and analyze data. Have relationships with clinical facilities and professional organizations.
**Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:** Ability to sit a computer up to 8 hours per day and visit clinical sites.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating effectively with parents about their child's development and milestones. Conducting parent-teacher conferences and providing guidance and resources to families will also be part of your role. Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with all licensing regulations and center policies is paramount. You will also collaborate with colleagues on program development and professional learning opportunities. The ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively and create a positive atmosphere is essential.
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with young children (infants, toddlers, or preschoolers). A valid CPR and First Aid certification is required. Knowledge of various early learning methodologies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia) is a strong asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and observational skills are necessary.
