QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification
  • High school diploma or GED;
  • Clear and valid Texas commercial driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
Experience :
  • Two years of experience as a safe school bus driver;
Special Knowledge/Skills :
  • Ability to effectively direct, manage, and motivate personnel;
  • Ability to follow and give written and verbal instructions clearly and effectively;
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents, including district policies and department guidelines and procedures;
  • Proficient map reading skills;
  • Ability to use a computerized routing system;
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests and annual physical exam;
  • Ability to complete required bus driver safety training;
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills;
  • Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to safely operate a school bus;
  • Ability to serve as a role model to the employees and students;
  • Ability to effectively manage student behavior and motivate students;

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$48,904 (BA-1)

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Supervise all non-shop employees in the absence of the department Director and the Assistant Directors/Area Directors;
  2. Assist the Director and the Assistant Directors/Area Directors in determining the departmental structure and job descriptions by providing support and recommendations to employees;
  3. Assist in the succession planning of key positions, including coordinating, evaluating, and approving departmental operations;
  4. Coordinate, evaluate, and approve departmental operations;
  5. Direct and manage bus drivers and attendants at assigned transportation centers including mentoring, motivating, and assisting employees with customer service, on-time performance, student management, regular and professional communication with parents and campuses, and writing clear and concise reports in a timely manner;
  6. Interview driver and attendant applicants, make recommendations for hire, and assist with the onboarding process as required;
  7. Confirm transportation eligibility in compliance with federal rules, TEA, and CFISD board policy;
  8. Process transportation requests for students and create appropriate student bus stop locations to safely serve the students;
  9. Determine student safety requirements, submit work orders as necessary, and maintain records of assigned equipment;
  10. Review, edit, and approve employee timesheets, trip sheets, and absences using the designated software;
  11. Ensure district policy and departmental guidelines are understood, enforced, and evident through one-on-one meetings/coaching sessions, staff/center meetings, and in-service training;
  12. Serve as a substitute driver, attendant, or dispatcher as needed;
  13. Respond to emergencies as needed;
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation, an Assistant Director, and the Area Director.
  15. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Supervise and evaluate the performance of bus drivers and attendants.

Moderate exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, and vehicle fumes. Frequent prolonged and irregular work hours (some nights and weekends as required).

The Senior Legal Counsel will primarily support end-user sales transactions in the United States, as well as take on projects as necessary within the North America Legal team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented and experienced contracts attorney with experience in end user sales. The successful candidate will be able to expand their skills working with a highly experienced and talented team. The position is an individual contributor role.
In this role you will:
+ Provide legal expertise in support of the entire HP Inc. portfolio for end-user customers, specifically Hardware (PC and Print), Software, Support and Managed Services.
+ Act as lead attorney supporting the overall legal strategies and assessment of risk on large, complex Managed Services deals, working closely with account and pursuit teams and other stakeholder groups.
+ Act as a trusted advisor to the business teams on legal issues and legal impact of business issues.
+ Draft and negotiate legal contract terms; identify business issues for business team support.
+ Provide legal support for competitive bids, including responding to end-user legal terms.
+ Identify and resolve complex legal issues requiring in-depth consideration of multiple factors.
+ Lead or assist with the resolution of contract disputes with existing customers.
+ Plan and provide training to internal clients on designated legal topics.
+ Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
+ Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
+ Support Legal's commitment to continuous improvement by identifying and leading solutions with Legal and internal clients to improve quality.
The successful candidate will have:
+ A Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized law school plus an active bar membership from any of the fifty states or the District of Columbia.
+ 5+ years of relevant legal experience (from a combination of law firm, government, and/or in-house experience) in the area of public sector contracting.
+ Experience supporting deals with State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers preferred, but not required.
+ Experience representing a major IT company on contracts matters a plus.
+ Prior negotiation experience in complex transactions.
+ Subject matter expertise on key legal topics including liability, indemnities, intellectual property and privacy/data protection.
+ Knowledge of industry norms and of the legal and business issues unique to IT products and services.
+ Practical, independent judgment, initiative, and self-confidence.
+ The willingness and ability to solve challenges; ability to work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive; and be able to thrive in change.
+ The ability to have proactive and effective communications of valuable information to clients and colleagues.
+ Capability to escalate issues effectively to high-level legal, account and business executives.
+ Adopted a growth mindset approach.
+ The ability to travel as needed.
The pay range for this role is **$165,000** to **$254,100** USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
