The Berks Career and Technology Center (BCTC) is searching for a full-time Educational Facilitator at our West Campus.
About Us: BCTC is a premier career and technology center that operates as a school of choice, designed for high school students as well as adult students who are seeking to enhance their educational program with a highly relevant career and technical experience that is connected directly to business and industry.
Qualifications: Must hold a PA teaching certificate in Special Education K-12 or qualifications to obtain such certification. Must have experience with teaching students with disabilities and have a working knowledge of PA standards, regulations, and federal legislation as it relates to IDEA. Experience in assisting staff to modify instructional practices to accommodate students' individual learning needs as described in the IEP under specially designed instruction. Must possess a valid PA driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
Position Goal: Serve as BCTC's primary point of contact with assigned school districts coordinating resources and support the educational process for each student enrolled at BCTC. Will coordinate and facilitate mandated special education laws and procedures and foster collaboration and communication between parents, students, and staff regarding student assessment and programming. Will provide assistance to teachers in the development, monitoring, and adaptation of curriculum and instructional practices to better address the learning needs of students in accordance with their IEP.
Work schedule : Full-time, 10-month position (190 days/year). Regular hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:15 pm (7 ¾ hours), including a 30-minute duty-free lunch. The role requires participation in six evening functions per school year, totaling three contractual workdays. Faculty meetings will extend the workday by up to 15 minutes twice a month.

Job Description
The Educational Diagnostician assesses and diagnoses the learning problems of students. The Educational Diagnosticians works within the scope of a multidisciplinary team of professionals to make decisions regarding the placement and support of students with learning disabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Master's Degree preferred
+ Teaching experience preferred
+ Certification as required by State and/or contract Regulations
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
