The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for strategic commodity management through supplier relationships, supplier risk mitigation, operating margin expansion, and driving optimal total cost of ownership. They will be responsible for creating relationship strategies, managing suppliers to simplify our supply base and reduce material cost by implementing negotiation strategies while ensuring product availability supporting multiple stakeholders.
This position is part of the Strategic Procurement located in Miami, FL and will be onsite with flexibility to work remote. At Beckman Coulter, our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.
You will be a part of the Strategic Procurement team and report to the Manager, Strategic Procurement responsible for leading the Strategic Procurement for multiple commodities, primarily Electronics and PCB's. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead supply chain initiatives in a manufacturing operations environment and all aspects of supplier selection and business transitions with overall project management for your assigned commodities.
+ Develop commodity strategies for the organization and negotiate contracts/agreements with those suppliers.
+ Partner with assigned suppliers, conducting regular business reviews with those having a high impact on the company.
+ Analyze and supervise corrective actions when supplier performance fails to meet expectations and address supplier performance or relationship issues that are raised by our manufacturing sites.
+ Lead requests for supplier pricing or information (RFP/RFI).
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years' experience, or Doctoral degree with 0+ years' experience
+ 2+ years' experience in a procurement, strategic sourcing, or a commodity management capacity in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong business acumen and ability to build strong business cases to support sourcing decisions.
+ Demonstrated negotiation skills and demonstrated use of continuous improvement tools to identify cost savings opportunities
+ Experience working with ERP systems
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Complex commodity procurement and strategic relationship management within a highly regulated industry
+ FDA regulated experience
+ Global procurement experience
+ Oracle experience
The salary range for this role is 85,000 to 110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

What This Role Is

As a Director of Operations - Appliances and Consumer Electronics , the primary function of this position is to serve as a key executive responsible for managing operational excellence of the appliance customer value stream from point of sale through delivery. What You'll Do.

As the Director of Operations - Appliances and Consumer Electronics, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Strategic operations and customer experience optimization (35%)
    • Guide all operational aspects of the appliance business, including working cross functionally with sales, delivery, and customer service
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in sales and delivery processes
    • Coordinate between departments to optimize efficiency and productivity. Assist in Sales, Customer Care, Parts Ordering, Customer Service for the Entire Experience
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions
  • Team development and training (35%)
    • Direct hiring, training, and development of appliance sales and operations teams
    • Build and maintain Associate morale and motivation, oversee performance
    • Ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies
    • Collaborate and communicate at all levels of the organization to meet corporate goals
  • Performance management, financial planning and forecasting (15%)
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators across the appliance value stream

    • Proven experience in retail operations and process improvement
  • Work Environment & Schedule:
    • Monday through Friday with rotating weekend availability
    • May be required to work weekends in the showrooms, warehouses, on deliveries, etc. to ensure the customer experience is flawless
    • 20% of Travel to various store locations
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to move through retail space for extended periods
    • Occasional lifting and moving of products up to 25 pounds
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and computer use
  • Technology Requirements:

**The Opportunity**
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
+ Function as a technical Lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects involving (distribution, sub transmission and transmission level voltage classes)
+ Utilize resources available for safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO/RTO) to effectively define project requirements, review project deliverables (physical, P&C, power system design) and collaborate with owner and OEM resources (subject matter experts, internal engineering, and project management).

Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer).
- 5 years of related experience.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience designing power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, and transit facilities.
- Experience designing medium and low-voltage power distribution systems.
- Familiar with industry and federal codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, etc.)
- Experience conducting power system analysis using software such as SKM Power Tools for Windows and ETAP.

**Skills and Abilities:**
- Expert knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert knowledge of engineer principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
**Background Check and Drug Testing Information:**

$81,765
**Pay Range Maximum:**
$134,909
**Additional Compensation:**
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
