About the Role

We are looking for a Field Service Tire Engineer to join our North American team. The Integration Field Engineer is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for engineering projects for which they are assigned. This technical management role is responsible for financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership of projects and has the capability to mentor and train staff under their supervision.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Design and develop intra-switchgear and inter-equipment control systems

  • Design and develop site-wide Sequence of Operation (SOO)

  • Conduct vendor coordination and submittal review and factory witness test to ensure equipment are produced to spec and conform with all design-build requirement

  • Design and develop safety mechanical, electrical, and or electromechanical interlock systems

  • Design and develop system wide automation systems using PLC or RTAC style industrial controllers, including but not limited to: System overload prevention, multi purpose busway interlocks, load management systems, generator plant load curtailment systems, Gen plant start and load controls including selective load pickup and load shed schemes, etc.

  • Design and develop SEL/ABB/Siemens relay protection and logic settings such as MTM transfer schemes using mirrored bit communication or hardwire

  • Strong understanding on power system and provide power system failure analysis, event analysis or SOE analysis and or develop a metering / triggering system to conduct such analysis.

The Control Systems Field Engineer directly supports the Government customer at headquarters and conducts inventories of Control Systems at locations under the organization's purview. The preferred candidate will be well-versed in common Control Systems Architecture design principles and possess operational knowledge of standard Control System processes. In this role, the candidate is expected to work with minimal guidance and is expected to take individual initiative in planning and performing work, in a cross-functional team, ensuring reports and recommendations are effectively communicated and actioned to support the Government customer and the mission requirements.
Working Conditions
Requires working on-site and traveling. The work is performed in both office and field environments and requires the candidate to facilitate meetings, training, and develop briefing material for senior leadership. This position interfaces with multiple teams and stakeholders as well as with the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Department of Emergency Services (DES) Plant DCS, OSI PI team, and Scheduling team. May be exposed to construction sites, electrical, loud noises, fumes, odors, insects, snakes, poor ventilation, and extreme temperatures. Work is performed with little, or no, direct supervision. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. May require travel to less-desirable locations. This position may require CONUS and/or OCONUS travel. Work may require being able to lift, carry, or move items up to approximately fifty pounds. Work may require climbing on military equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary point of contact during all phases of the inventory.
+ Lead onsite inventory activities, producing highly detailed inventory information of FRCS, ICS, and SCADA systems.
+ Read and review Electrical schematics for Control Systems.
+ Troubleshoot TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC, and network communications issues (can vary greatly depending on SCADA system and protocols in use).
+ Suggest Control System replacement (end of life, policy requirements, etc.) and assist stakeholders and the Government customer with recommendations for upgrades and/or replacement.
+ Perform data analysis of events or processes to help identify and make (automation) suggestions to resolve and prevent future issues.
+ Provide training and support to all team members on the program.
+ Support and guide control systems inventory team members during inventories.
+ Ensure optimal team performance while adhering to standardization and data normalization guidelines.
+ Demonstrate diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables.

Job Title: CMT / Inspector / Field EngineerJob Description
We are seeking experienced and entry-level CMT professionals, Special Inspectors, and Geotechnical Inspectors for diverse projects in the Raleigh-Durham area. This opportunity is available for individuals who are interested in joining the profession, with current needs at Tech II and Tech III levels.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct testing, analysis, and quality control of materials.
+ Perform grain size analysis, Atterberg Limit testing, moisture-density testing, ASTM and NCDOT hydrometers, and laboratory resistivity testing for soils.
+ Perform aggregate grain size analysis, specific gravity of fine and coarse aggregates, and dry rodded unit weight for aggregates.
+ Carry out compressive and flexural strength testing of concrete cylinders, beams, and cubes, produce laboratory trial batches, sample and test fresh unit weight, air content, and make samples, and observe batch plant operations for Portland Cement Concrete.
+ Execute burn and gradation analysis, maximum theoretical testing (Rice), and specific gravity testing for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
+ Perform absorption and compressive strength testing on masonry blocks.
Essential Skills
+ 2-3+ years of experience preferred.
+ Knowledge and experience in materials inspections and construction materials testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ ACI certification preferred.
+ Familiarity with ICC, I.C.C., and Nicet certifications.
Work Environment
The role involves working both in the field and laboratory settings. You will be part of a team known for its expertise in geotechnical and construction materials testing within the Raleigh market.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.

What you will do:
+ Prepare robotic vehicles for customer delivery, including calibration, factory acceptance testing, and safety checks.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues to maintain optimal system performance.
+ Commission and validate systems on-site, including wireless communication surveys, safety assessments, and software interface testing.
+ Create clear technical documentation and deliver hands-on operator training to customers.
+ Lead or assist with customer acceptance testing during pre-delivery and on-site installation phases.
+ Support virtual testing and commissioning activities.
+ Track system performance and uptime, analyzing issues for long-term improvements.
+ _For Level I_ : Provide support to more senior Field Engineers (II-IV) on projects and service calls.

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering

**Level II:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience
+ 7 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree
**Level III:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience
Skills, Experience, & Abilities
+ Troubleshooting:
+ Experience with electro-mechanical systems
+ Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D models, and mechanical assembly drawings
+ Familiarity with wireless communication systems
+ Technical:
+ Proficiency with Windows operating systems
+ Experience in device programming
+ Understanding of networking concepts, hardware, and software
+ Knowledge of wireless technologies
+ Communication:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
+ Ability to remain professional and composed in challenging situations
+ Experience interacting directly with customers in technical environments
