Job summary - Participate in the preventive maintenance program of all-building equipment and rooms.   • Ensure knowledge of hotel safety procedures and respond to alarms.
  • Ensure staff reports to work; document late or absent employees.
  • Prepare and review work assignments; coordinate breaks and communicate changes.
  • Observe staff performance, rectify deficiencies, and assist where needed.
  • Conduct training on equipment operation and building procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete paperwork and review with Director of Engineering.
  • Develop and update policies and manuals for the department.

Pratt & Whitney's Line Maintenance Services in Dallas, Texas is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to provide oversight of the Engineering Team which may include Powerplant and/or Repair/Repair Development Engineers. The Engineering Team provides operations support functions as engines are inducted into and progress through the shop. Proactive support of new process development including capabilities analysis and industrialization is a key element of the position. The person in this role will ensure a smooth Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) process, while working to meet external and internal customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery timeline commitments.

What You Will Do:
  • Subject matter expert providing technical solutions to shop operations, workscope reviews and capability evaluations for engines and/or components; service bulletins; modifications; configuration; and/or new repair techniques for Pratt & Whitney engines.
  • Lead the efforts to establish additional capabilities as required using Continuous Improvement principles, managing the procurement activities and supporting industrialization of aforementioned capabilities.
  • Support Operations in solving assembly/configuration/inspection problems, making decisions based on available technical data, using experience and know-how from other engine types.
  • Assist in addressing customer inquiries as it pertains to workscope determination and approval
  • Liaison across multiple departments/functions (to include both internal and external teams as well as customers) to ensure seamless service and workscope execution.
  • Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to assure Pratt & Whitney engines meet or exceed Customer expectations. Participate in problem-solving process to generate on-wing/near wing technical solutions to engine removal drivers.
  • Comply with financial guidelines for all support related procurement activities.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments within the Engineering Team
  • Ongoing coaching and mentoring of engineering team to ensure optimum team performance.
  • Ensure Engineering team complies with all government regulations, regulatory requirements, company policies, repair station procedures and work instructions including Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and International Trade Compliance requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 10 years of experience in engine MRO, or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 7 years of relevant experience in engine MRO
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and motivate teams to achieve business goals
  • Supervisory experience in a cross-functional environment including engineering, operations and support functions
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with gas turbine engines, particularly in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment
