Qualifications:

Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a motivated and talented Civil Engineering Technician to join our team in Raleigh, and support a wide variety of private, municipal and federal design projects. Your Key Responsibilities
- Site layout plans and geometric plans from basic concept to final construction documents
- Plan and profiles for site roads and utilities
- Drainage and grading design. Support the project team with quality control and electronic file management, including the following crucial tasks:
- Organize construction documents from beginning to end with minor direction.
- Demonstrate understanding of codes and regulatory requirements for design.
- Perform thorough quality control review of construction documents.
- Maintain file management of AutoCAD files and other documents.
- Ensure compliance with company CAD standards within the scope of assigned projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with skills including grading, pipe networks, profiles, and corridor modeling.
- Relevant software programs may also include StormCAD, HydraFlow, AutoTurn and GIS. Experience with stormwater modeling is desirable but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in site development and civil engineering projects.
- Associate's degree in civil engineering technology or similar field from an accredited community college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

**Overview**
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Durham, North Carolina (NC), office! This is not a remote position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
+ Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
+ Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
+ Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
