  • Partner with department leaders on monthly financial reporting, budget versus actuals analysis, and strategic based projects
  • Coordinate in partnership the annual budget and quarterly forecasts between finance and business leaders, facilitating cross functional collaboration to ensure the budget supports Casper's strategic plan
  • Support reporting to leadership and the Board by delivering the relevant financial information, analysis and context in a clear and concise manner to frame and facilitate management discussions
  • Support strategic projects including fundraising efforts and potential partnerships or M&A activity
  • Create and maintain detailed forecasting models and reports using our financial modeling and reporting tool, Adaptive, in order to support short-term and long-term strategic planning

Our dream candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field from a leading institution with an exceptional academic record
  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial role including investment banking, management consulting, accounting, or commercial / financial planning & analysis
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with financial modeling and a solid base in accounting and finance
  • Experience with financial planning tools, JD Edwards and Adaptive are strongly preferred. Experience with or willingness to learn Python, SQL, or VBA a plus
  • Demonstrates the ability to think critically about business needs and drive process improvements

We are searching for an exceptional Financial Analyst who will join our Sales Finance team in Richmond, Virginia. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the accurate and timely calculation and payment of sales commissions for CoStar's over 1,300 salespeople as well as other Financial Planning and Analysis responsibilities. In addition to the monthly calculation of the Commission payments, the Analyst will be responsible for increasing the communication, efficiency, and transparency of our commission plans to our sales force.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis of sales commission on month to month/year to year and other ad hoc reporting

The Analyst will also be responsible for working with our Financial Planning and Analysis team and Sales Leadership on monthly reporting and forecasting of our company wide commission expense.

The Analyst will help in the design and creation of our yearly commission plans as well as any new commission plans that arise throughout the year.

Partner with sales leadership and other internal groups (finance and HR) to assist in incentive plan and tracking analyses; perform quality control to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency.

Maintain comprehensive commission plan documentation.

Maintain sales force communications to foster a greater understanding of the Commission Plans.

Create ad hoc reports/analysis for business unit heads and executive management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • 2+ years of related work experience in corporate finance, accounting, or sales finance/operations
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive level professionals within and outside of the Finance Department.
  • Ability to identify and help improve current processes to make workflow more efficient.
  • Strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Power query or PowerBI knowledge.

Financial Analyst - Commissions
Job Description
**Role Description** :
At CoStar Group, our finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, sales commissions, and revenue recognition.
We are searching for an exceptional Financial Analyst who will join our Sales Finance team in Richmond, Virginia. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the accurate and timely calculation and payment of sales commissions for CoStar's over 1,300 salespeople as well as other Financial Planning and Analysis responsibilities? In addition to the monthly calculation of the Commission payments, the Analyst will be responsible for increasing the communication, efficiency, and transparency of our commission plans to our sales force?
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Analysis of sales commission on month to month/year to year and other ad hoc reporting
The Analyst will also be responsible for working with our Financial Planning and Analysis team and Sales Leadership on monthly reporting and forecasting of our company wide commission expense?
The Analyst will help in the design and creation of our yearly commission plans as well as any new commission plans that arise throughout the year.
Partner with sales leadership and other internal groups (finance and HR) to assist in incentive plan and tracking analyses; perform quality control to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
Maintain comprehensive commission plan documentation.
Maintain sales force communications to foster a greater understanding of the Commission Plans.
Create ad hoc reports/analysis for business unit heads and executive management.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
+ A track record of commitment to prior employers.
+ 2+ years of related work experience in corporate finance, accounting, or sales finance/operations
+ Strong Excel Skills?
+ Ability to communicate effectively with executive level professionals within and outside of the Finance Department.
+ Ability to identify and help improve current processes to make workflow more efficient.
+ Strong attention to detail.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Power query or PowerBI knowledge.
+ Experience in commissions, sales finance/operations, contracts, or revenue accounting.
+ Evidence of strong academic performance in college.

**JOB SUMMARY**
This role drives financial insights and supports strategic decision-making within the Health Plan FP&A team. The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for complex financial modeling, scenario planning, variance analysis, and standard reporting contributing to the overall financial health and strategic direction of the organization.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including trend and variance analysis, to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making and preparation of forecasts.
+ Develop and maintain complex financial models to simulate various business scenarios and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
+ Present financial insights and recommendations to management, influencing key business decisions with actionable insights.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, as well as colleagues across different geographic locations, to conduct financial and business related analyses and research
+ Standardize and streamline forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes, identifying automation and system improvement opportunities to increase accuracy and scalability.
+ Lead and document financial analysis projects including the preparation of ad hoc reports; to include but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.
+ Complete schedules, enterprise reporting, and board materials for affiliates, third parties, and management as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum**
+ Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
+ 7-10 years of related progress experience in Accounting and/or Finance including experience in leading projects of varying size and complexity
+ Experience with various computer applications to include MS Excel and/or MS Access
**Preferred**
+ MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
+ Proficiency with financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle / Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills
+ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
+ Healthcare industry experience
