Overview
Mastercard is looking for a Counsel, US Region, Financial Institutions to join our dynamic legal team supporting the United States, Mastercard's largest region. This role will provide transactional support and counsel to Mastercard's customer account teams for issuers, processors, and other issuing program partners, helping to drive legal strategy, manage risk, and enable growth in Mastercard's core business. The position reports to Senior Managing Counsel, US Region, Financial Institutions.
Role
- Act as a day-to-day advisor for our account teams by partnering with the business, cross-functional partners, and legal subject matter experts to deliver on Mastercard's strategy, including expanding Mastercard issuance and securing Mastercard share with issuers, processors, and other issuing program partners.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to better understand and advise holistically on Mastercard's core products and relevant regulatory, compliance, privacy and antitrust issues.
- Structure, draft, review and negotiate incentive agreements and other customer agreements, including identifying legal and business risks and recommending solutions, with minimal supervision.
- Train and educate account teams on processes, risks, changes in laws and regulations and the U.S. regulatory landscape on an ongoing basis.
- Work with the US legal team on process improvements and efficiencies to increase ease of doing business.
All About You
- JD from an accredited law school; admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
- Significant transactional legal experience at a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel.
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts, issues and deal structures.

**POSITION DETAILS**
Brooklyn College invites applications for an Executive Director for Student Financial Services. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration (SVPFA), with latitude for independent judgment and decision making, the Executive Director for Student Financial Services is responsible for providing leadership over the areas that assist students in understanding the options to finance their education, including the Offices of the Bursar, Financial Aid, and Scholarships. The incumbent works closely with colleagues across the college to create synergies that streamline administrative processes, improve the student experience, and facilitate student success. The incumbent must work closely with the SVPFA, the SVPFA's Cabinet, and leadership across the College to provide information and services to the campus community.
Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
+ Implement and manage an integrated student financial services process and communications plan with the goal of ensuring that every student knows how to finance their education and receives the highest level of customer service.
+ Oversee the Office of the Bursar, the Office of Financial Aid, and the Office of Scholarships.
+ Design and direct a tier-based model to deliver exceptional student financial services while leveraging resources accordingly.
+ Create and manage a comprehensive student experience roadmap and communications plan for the areas within student financial services, and lead the effort to consolidate plans with all other student facing areas to reduce student run-around and dissatisfaction.
+ Develop a communications plan that utilizes technology to provide accessible information to students related to financing their education. Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to students and all customers, particularly the timely and professional response to all inquiries. Communicate effectively with students through the college website, social media, Chatbots, email correspondence, mail correspondence, campus-wide outreach, and the like.
+ Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Recruitment to develop and implement a plan to advise prospective students and their families on how to finance their education.
+ Implement strategic enrollment management initiatives related to student financial services.
+ Administer College, Brooklyn College Foundation, University, State, and Federal policies regarding the collection of tuition and fees, financial aid administration, and scholarship processing.
+ Develop and implement strategies to ensure the prompt billing and timely collection of payments due the College for tuition and fees, financial aid, third party payments, tuition waivers, and miscellaneous business transactions.
+ Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls for the accounting of cash, credit card, and other payments and for the deposit of such payments. Implement strategies to monitor receivables and optimize collections. Provide regular status reports and monitor performance against University targets and other relevant benchmarks.
+ Collaborate with appropriate college offices, including but not limited to, the Offices of the Comptroller, Academic Affairs, Registrar, Enrollment Management, Academic Advisement and Student Success, Student Affairs, Information Technology, and Institutional Advancement.
+ Work with the Brooklyn College Foundation to discuss student aid needs with potential donors. Implement completion and continuation grants.
+ Monitor non-tax levy revenues to ensure they are consistent with University policy and deposited accordingly.
+ Create and monitor the Student Financial Services strategic and operational assessment plans.
+ Document all processes, policies, and procedures under Student Financial Services.
+ Attend University meetings and communicate relevant information.
+ Perform all other tasks assigned by the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration.
**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.
+ Experience at a director level position or higher in student financial services.
+ Experience and knowledge in bursar operations, financial aid, scholarships.

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $266,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Candidates must be based in the Northeast region.
Avanade seeks a Business Development Executive at Manager level who is a strategic seller and self-starter who can develop and win new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions. For this role, we are looking for people with experience in selling digital transformation and consulting services (e.g. cloud implementation, business applications integration, etc.) to Enterprise Financial Services Industry Clients.

What you'll do
* Drive new and incremental revenue by prospecting, acquiring, and developing new and fast-growing business with clients in your area of expertise.
* Build a pipeline for growth and closing business, including statements of work and contracts.
* Foster integration Microsoft and partners to enhance client value
* Manage and expand strategic client relationships, including C-Suite engagements
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients
* Drive account growth through innovative business development strategies and execution of comprehensive account planning
* Maintain Financial Services knowledge including market trends, contending offerings and current penetration of services and solutions.
Skills and experiences
* Experience with services and/or solution selling to Financial Services clients (insurance and banking) is required.
* Experience selling across multiple Microsoft Solution areas (Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace, Biz Apps and Data & AI), preferably consulting engagements that could include delivery is required.
* Success as a business development hunter with sophisticated closure capabilities
* Ability to drive an end-to-end sales process from origination to close.
* Ability to act as a trusted advisor to C-Suite in addressing our client's business needs
* Proven ability to use customer feedback for continuous improvement
* Strategic mindset with a focus on overcoming obstacles, driving critical initiatives and vision realization

Compensation for roles at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable base salary range of compensation for roles that may be hired throughout North America, as set forth below:
