The Warehouse Forklift Driver is responsible for using tools and equipment to pick, sort, move, and store materials within the warehouse ensuring efficient movement of goods through the supply chain. The role involves using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, requires physical stamina and attention to detail.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics team located in Cortland, NY and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Move materials and products from loading docks to delivery vehicles, ships, or storage areas.
+ Receive, stock, and organize inventory, often using electronic tracking systems to maintain accurate records.
+ Collect and sort materials for order fulfillment or production, sometimes palletizing them for shipment.
+ Operate manual and power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to handle materials.
+ Perform basic cleaning of equipment like material hoppers, and ensures proper storage of materials and follows safety protocols when handling materials and operating equipment.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent
+ Attention to detail is crucial for accurate inventory management and record-keeping along with basic computer/data entry skills are helpful for tracking supplies and inventory.
+ Familiarity with operating equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts is essential.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs, good physical strength and stamina are needed for prolonged periods on your feet and for lifting heavy products.

+ Safely operate forklifts to move finished products from the production lines to the distribution building.
+ Pick orders for shipment and stage them correctly.

+ Operate manual and automatic dock plates safely.
+ Secure trailers by using the glad-hand lock system and chocking trailers when necessary.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and take charge of moving the materials that keep our operations running smoothly. In this fast-paced role, you'll operate electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to safely transport products, equipment, and materials throughout our facility. You'll play a key part in loading and unloading items onto pallets, skids, or other lifting devices-always following strict safety regulations and company protocols. If you're safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and ready to keep things moving, we want to hear from you!
**_** 1st and 2nd Shift Schedule Available**_**
**6+ months of experience on sit-down forklift**
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, transports, load and unload to a designated area
+ List materials and record weight, counts, and condition of frozen food items via a Radio Frequency (RF) system
+ Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
+ Lead safety inspections on truck chalking and glad-hand process
+ Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions
+ Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station
**ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Work with other machinery and material handling equipment
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)**
+ Basic math skills
+ Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
+ Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
+ Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
+ Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
Pay Range:$15.50 - $26.06
