ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

  • Significant program team contributor. Coordinating team meetings and reviews and offering solutions to problems

  • Utilizing strong communication skills to interface with Program Management Organization(PMO) team and others, including; project managers, technical staff, subcontractors, and customers in support of PMO activities

  • Creating, maintaining, and monitoring program baselines utilizing Earned Value Management

  • Developing financial forecasts and deeply analyzing estimates at completion

  • Working with the contracts department for funding, billings, and other contractual items

  • Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays

  • Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally

  • Proposal support through pricing basis of estimates, compiling cost volumes, and preparing request for bid approvals (RBA); participating in fact-finding, statements of position, and negotiations

  • Has/able to obtain a Secret Clearance to support classified programs

  • Provide financial support for large capital program

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree /equivalent experience plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $

Purpose

This role is required to assist the Blanton Museum of Art Development team with internal operations, including documentation of donor correspondence, organization of systems, administrative support on events, and other assistance as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with donor reporting by working with other museum departments to gather information on supported projects, including statistics, recognition materials, program descriptions, and other pertinent information
  • Assist with updating Altru database, including names and contact information, salutations, VIP ID numbers, and other data entry as necessary
  • Discretion and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information
  • Search VIP for information to update Altru database including VIP ID numbers for donors and prospective donors, and contact and biographical information (will be required to attend appropriate VIP training sessions)
  • Assist with tracking event attendees and other groups of potential donors for prospect research
  • Attend and assist with development and membership events on an as needed basis
  • Assist with general research on corporate, foundation, and individual prospects when appropriate
  • Assist with assembly of packets for National Leadership Board meetings on an as needed basis
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Texas Performing Arts (TPA) is the professional arts presenting and producing program of The University of Texas at Austin. One of the largest and most active university-based performing arts centers in the U.S., TPA is an anchor institution in Austin's arts, cultural, and entertainment landscape. TPA operates venues on the UT campus including Austin's largest theater, Bass Concert Hall. Its public programs include Broadway in Austin; an international season of dance, theater, music and more; and the Texas Welcomes series of national touring artists. TPA is part of UT's College of Fine Arts and engages students across the university in creative experiences.

Purpose

Assist the Event Management Office with the full-cycle management of events presented by Texas Performing Arts. Assist with pre-performance procurement of artist hospitality items and amenities; including purchasing, preparation, and set-up. Assist with day-of venue management; setting up, maintaining and breaking down Artist catering, dressing room hospitality service, and additional dressing room furniture and needs. Assist with post-performance restoration of venue, and upkeep of hospitality inventory; collecting, cleaning, replacing, and review of all utilized TPA fixtures and amenities for each performance, and flipping our venue between performances. Provide excellent customer service and meet Artist's needs as a representative of Texas Performing Arts. Provide occasional office support using standard computer programs and office equipment.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represent Texas Performing Arts with a pleasant and professional demeanor through all interactions.
  • Arrive on time for work and maintain a reliable attendance record.
  • Dress appropriately according to the standards determined by supervisor.
  • Process documents related to events, schedules and purchasing.
  • Assist with inventory, upkeep, and procurement of hospitality items.
  • Set up, maintain, and break down hospitality items.
  • Assist with artist services duties before, during, and after performances.
  • Assist with day-of-show venue management.
  • Respect Artist's privacy and refrain from asking for autographs and taking pictures. Position requires non-disclosure of information.
  • Have exceptional communication skills with your supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Purpose

For the academic year, the Department of Theatre and Dance is looking for engaging and service-oriented student employees to join the department's Events team as Events Student Assistants. This position provides essential support for special events produced by the department, and offers an opportunity to develop professional experience in events management and customer service in an academic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Greeting and supporting guest needs
  • Setup of event furniture, refreshments, and decorations
  • Refilling, restocking, and reorganizing refreshments as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
