Responsibilities include conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into player behavior and preferences. You will translate research findings and user requirements into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Creating visually compelling and consistent UI designs that adhere to brand guidelines and enhance user engagement will be a key focus. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive design system and style guide to ensure consistency across all products is also part of the role. You will collaborate closely with the product team to define user stories and product roadmaps, advocating for user-centered design principles throughout the development lifecycle. Iterating on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and stakeholder input will be crucial. Presenting design concepts and solutions effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions and rationale, is essential. Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UX/UI design, particularly within the gaming industry, and applying them to improve our products will be expected. You will also mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence.
A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. A strong portfolio showcasing extensive UX/UI design experience, particularly in interactive applications or gaming, is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion focused on complex digital products. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator) is essential. Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, ProtoPie) and a solid understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are highly desirable. Excellent understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability best practices. Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, and color theory.
