DescriptionResponsibilities
- Work directly with clients to thoroughly understand their business requirements and objectives and determine technical and/or operational solutions to address their needs.
- Determine the level of effort, equipment, software, and service required to build comprehensive project plans with clear timelines and budgets for each project.
- Manage and execute projects to completion, communicating progress and considerations in line with expectations.
- Work with vendors as necessary to identify the best path forward.
- Perform security and functional evaluations of new products and services.
- Assist with auditing and documenting new environments.
- Present plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Balance delegation of tasks to others and personal performance of the work as appropriate.
- Assist with day-to-day operational support and maintenance and take escalated tickets.
- Provide constructive guidance to fellow team members and mentor staff that report to you.
- Assist with the evaluation and scoping of new business opportunities.
- Strong command of information security best practices.
- Able to take an adversarial perspective when evaluating security controls.
- Experience building and securing solutions with modern cloud components (Google Workspace, M365, AWS).
- Comfortable designing solutions for Windows, Mac, and Linux environments (both desktop and server; mixed and homogeneous).
- Deep networking experience (wired and wireless).
- Experience troubleshooting complex issues involving multiple disparate systems.
- 10 years of professional experience in IT.
- 3 years in an IT management role.
- 3 years as lead architect for client engagements.
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-171 / CMMC.
- Scripting and automation experience.
- Able to work with individuals along the continuum of skill, both clients, fellow team members, and direct reports; meet them where they are and help them progress forward in a positive manner.
- Able to get to the root of the request from a given client, gather information on conditions and requirements, craft a solution that is operationally and financially within reach, and see the project through to completion.
- Must be willing to take personal ownership of the environments, understand areas where improvements can be made, and help move them forward continuously through time.
- Able to present difficult / nuanced concepts in a manner that resonates with stakeholders such that they walk away understanding next steps and are empowered to take necessary action.
- Must be able to communicate progress in line with client expectations and keep stakeholders informed of any issues that come up in a timely manner.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field is preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of work experience in the Information Technology field.
- Two years of experience in Web programming / development and/or (2) years of experience working with Ellucian products and solutions for customers in the higher education sector and occupational experience in business systems analysis, design, integration, technical development, and implementation.
- Experience as a project leader for a systems implementation project in an educational environment is desirable; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to include the following
- Colleague experience crucial. Colleague system administration experience, and experience with Colleague Web API, including ELF imports.
- Experience in SQL environments.
- Experience programming in such languages as C# or .NET
- Experience working with Ellucian Colleague products/components including UI, WebAdvisor, E-Commerce, Portal, Self Service, Student Planning, and Mobile
- Experience with Colleague Studio, UniData, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of client side development using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS

The IT Intern is responsible for providing help desk support to end users across the organization as it relates to hardware, software and telephone system issues.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as first and primary contact for users on hardware and software Help Desk issues. Receive and troubleshoot user help desk calls through to successful resolution.
- Handles day-to-day user administration on all systems including the telephone system
- Trouble shoots equipment problems and place service calls with the appropriate maintenance vendors when necessary. Coordinates outside vendor support for desktop and laptop computers.
- Maintains pc images and updates/deploys them when necessary.
- Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software to meet identified business needs.
- Personally, keep current with application updates and industry trends in order to maximize IEWC’s investment in computerized systems Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Director Information Services and Technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Preferred college student actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree in Information Technology.
- The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of working under pressure within tight time frames.
- Must possess a high level of initiative and energy, an enthusiasm for learning, the capability to work with minimal supervision and have a client service approach to supporting users.
