Seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support our client located in Washington, DC.
The role is remote, but this person must be local to Washington DC/Northern VA/MD.
This is an open-ended contract that can convert to perm.

Overview:
• Lead the design, implementation, and operation of our cloud platforms and scalable infrastructure.
• Work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, supporting development within an innovative AI GPT technology.
• Infrastructure Architecture: Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Network Engineering: Implement and manage network gateways, P2P VPN connections, and cross-cloud networking solutions.
• DevSecOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and enforce security compliance.
• RAG Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain robust document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and vector database pipelines for AI knowledge retrieval systems.
• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
• AI/ML Infrastructure: Support distributed AI workloads, model serving, and agentic architectures.
• Security & Compliance: Implement FedRAMP, NIST frameworks and PHI/PII protection measures.
• Monitoring & Operations: Deploy comprehensive logging, monitoring, and incident response systems.

Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required - must pass federal background investigation for a Public Trust.
• Active Public Trust Clearance or Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Master's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• 5+ years' experience cloud infrastructure engineering, with 3+ years in multi-cloud environments.
• Multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience.
• Network gateways, VPN technologies (site-to-site, P2P), cross-cloud connectivity.
