Through professional persistence, the Retail Loan Officer solicits and originates investment quality loans that are acceptable to the companys chosen investors and agencies. The Retail Loan Officer develops and maintains a strong client referral base by selling the companys loan products and services to meet the needs of its client base such as realtors, builders, home buyers, CPSs, financial planners and others. A few r esponsibilities include reviewing, authorizing and recommending loans for approval.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License through NMLS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience using loan origination software(s).
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, financial and customer service skills.
- Effective time management, priority setting and thoroughness skills.
- Ability to attend / promote the company brand at networking and/or marketing events to increase personal production.
- Establish, develop and maintain client referral relationships with realtors, builders, developers, CPAs, financial planners and make sales calls on potential or existing customers in order to develop new business and/or retain existing business.
- Keep informed of trends, changes, and developments in the local real estate market to deliver up to date information to clients.
- Keep up to date with changing rules, regulations, and guidelines from FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA in addition to other investors and agencies to prevent any errors during the loan process.
- To keep informed of all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements for both company and investor guidelines pertaining to both governments insured and privately insured mortgages to ensure product selection for a client is as accurate as possible.
- Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with mortgages to find the best scenario for the client.
- Coordinate customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing including, but not limited to: counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers; taking complete and accurate application; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fees and lock in information; overseeing the loan process monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with term; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicated loan status to all interested parties; and obtaining loan documentation after closing as directed by corporate or senior management.
- Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures to represent Embrace as a leading lender.
- Follow through on all professional conditions and education requirements for licensure to ensure compliance in all business transactions.
- Adhere to organizational procedures for loan processing to ensure effective and efficient results.
- Participate in branch/headquarter meetings that require attendance to increase knowledge of process updates professional development.
- Performing such duties and assuming other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.

Driver Eligibility Guidelines
This position requires reliable transportation and the operation of a motor vehicle from time to time in order to perform your required job duties.
