Job Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator, your role will involve keeping accurate records of fleet operations, regulatory compliance, and other relevant information, while actively coordinating with the Drivers, Transportation, Warehouse teams to ensure seamless organization operations.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with an hour for lunch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee driver schedules to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency, addressing any conflicts or issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and addressing any related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, regulatory compliance, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other driver and transportation laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Handle hotel bookings for out-of-town drivers, ensuring arrangements are made efficiently and within budgets.
  • Assist the Warehouse and Transportation team in reporting issues to executives, ensuring timely communication of any problems or challenges.
  • Provide regular, detailed updates to management on fleet status, driver performance, maintenance issues, and operational concerns.
  • Manage all logistics concerns to ensure that all related assignments are reported before their due dates.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management to support the overall operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in logistics and transportation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, team members, and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and report quickly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Fleet Management System (FMS), preferably Geotab, and Office 365, as well as food distribution software.

**Basic Qualifications:**
- High School degree or equivalent and twelve
months related experience required.
- Prior warehousing experience.
- Prior experience operating a forklift.
- Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd
shift according to the Collective Bargaining
Agreement.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility
requirements

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
