Oversee logistics from international suppliersto Houston warehouse and nationwide delivery to retailers
Manage import processes, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and insurance documentation
Lead warehouse operations including receiving, labeling, storage, and outbound order dispatch
Knowledge of setting up warehouses from scratch and implementing warehouse automation systems (weighing, barcoding, sorting, packaging)
Implement inventory control systems, monitor stock levels, and reduce shrinkage or misplacement
Optimize warehouse layout and implement automation for weighing, barcoding, and packing
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with shipping carriers and vendors
Track logistics KPIs (on-time delivery rate, error rate, cost per order) and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with IT and ERP/CRM teams to automate and streamline inventory and logistics workflows
Manage logistics staff and assign roles for peak performance and accountability
Build systems to support scaling from 25 to 300+ daily orders, including packaging and routing
Monitor and reduce logistics and warehousing costs while maintaining speed and accuracy
Work closely with the sales and finance teams to forecast inventory needs and avoid bottlenecks
5+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management required
Experience in wholesale, luxury, jewelry, or high-value goods is a strong plus
Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export compliance, freight operations, and shipping logistics
Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics , LogicMate, NetSuite, etc.) and Excel-based tracking tools
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus

Job Purpose:The Logistics Manager will be accountable for optimizing every facet of transportation and logistics. Your goal will be to ensure goods move efficiently and cost-effectively from start to finish, while consistently refining processes and using data to inform strategic choices and achieve operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:- Transportation Management: Manage all domestic and international shipping activities across FedEx, UPS, LTL, FTL, ocean, and air freight. Optimize carrier selection, route planning, and service level agreements. Monitor delivery exceptions and resolve shipment issues in a timely manner. Use TMS to simulate routing scenarios and identify cost-effective mode shifts (e.g., air to ground, FTL to LTL).
- Freight Cost Optimization: Analyze freight invoices and shipping spend by carrier, region, mode, and product. Identify cost-saving opportunities such as consolidations and optimized carrier mix. Recommend strategies to reduce cost per shipment or unit.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Benchmark and compare freight rates; support contract negotiations with carriers. Monitor and evaluate carrier performance (on-time%, damage%, claim rate%, etc.). Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and identify new vendor opportunities.
- KPI & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards to monitor cost per unit/shipment, transit times, on-time delivery rate, shipment volume by region and mode, and fuel surcharge impact. Provide monthly and quarterly analysis to leadership; flag operational inefficiencies. Track logistic KPIs such as claim rate and exception frequency.
- Route & Mode Optimization: Analyze shipping lanes to recommend faster or more economical routes. Use analytics to optimize mode selection and determine when to consolidate shipments. Improve distribution efficiency by leveraging data for continuous improvement.
- System Integration & Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement TMS tools and automation solutions for freight audit. Improve labeling, manifesting, and documentation to streamline operations. Collaborate with IT and warehouse teams for improved WMS and OMS integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer service, warehouse, finance, procurement, and product teams. Support the onboarding of new carriers or 3PLs and align logistics strategy across departments. Communicate analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead logistics operations to ensure an efficient and effective supply chain. Assign, monitor, and review work to enhance team capabilities and foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving cost and service goals.

Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator at DSV, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, materials, and products from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with various departments within the company to ensure that shipments are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications. You will also be responsible for tracking shipments, managing inventory levels, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers
* Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure shipments are delivered on time and according to customer specifications
* Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documentation
* Track shipments and manage inventory levels
* Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process, including delays, damages, and lost shipments
* Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions
* Monitor transportation costs and work to minimize expenses
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Educational background / Work experience
* A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
* At least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
* Experience working in a transportation or logistics company is a plus.
Skills & Competencies

Job Purpose:
The Logistics Manager will be accountable for optimizing every facet of transportation and logistics. Your goal will be to ensure goods move efficiently and cost-effectively from start to finish, while consistently refining processes and using data to inform strategic choices and achieve operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Transportation Management: Manage all domestic and international shipping activities across FedEx, UPS, LTL, FTL, ocean, and air freight. Optimize carrier selection, route planning, and service level agreements. Monitor delivery exceptions and resolve shipment issues in a timely manner. Use TMS to simulate routing scenarios and identify cost-effective mode shifts (e.g., air to ground, FTL to LTL).
- Freight Cost Optimization: Analyze freight invoices and shipping spend by carrier, region, mode, and product. Identify cost-saving opportunities such as consolidations and optimized carrier mix. Recommend strategies to reduce cost per shipment or unit.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Benchmark and compare freight rates; support contract negotiations with carriers. Monitor and evaluate carrier performance (on-time%, damage%, claim rate%, etc.). Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and identify new vendor opportunities.
- KPI & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards to monitor cost per unit/shipment, transit times, on-time delivery rate, shipment volume by region and mode, and fuel surcharge impact. Provide monthly and quarterly analysis to leadership; flag operational inefficiencies. Track logistic KPIs such as claim rate and exception frequency.
- Route & Mode Optimization: Analyze shipping lanes to recommend faster or more economical routes. Use analytics to optimize mode selection and determine when to consolidate shipments. Improve distribution efficiency by leveraging data for continuous improvement.
- System Integration & Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement TMS tools and automation solutions for freight audit. Improve labeling, manifesting, and documentation to streamline operations. Collaborate with IT and warehouse teams for improved WMS and OMS integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer service, warehouse, finance, procurement, and product teams. Support the onboarding of new carriers or 3PLs and align logistics strategy across departments. Communicate analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead logistics operations to ensure an efficient and effective supply chain. Assign, monitor, and review work to enhance team capabilities and foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving cost and service goals.
Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a DTC or e-commerce environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with logistics software, TMS, WMS, or ERP system.
- Proven ability to negotiate with carriers and manage third-party vendors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience with high-volume small parcel, LTL, and international preferred.
- Familiarity with intermodal and air/ocean freight management preferred.
- Skilled in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for advanced logistics analysis preferred.
This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.
Job Location and Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
- 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
- Monday through Friday.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
- The salary range is $80,000 - $00,000.
- Flexible Paid Time Off.
- 12 PTO days per year, accrued bi-weekly, with incremental increases annually.
