An international custom automated assembly line solutions company is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Automation Design Engineer to join their facility in the Rochester Hills, Michigan area. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years' experience with custom automated assembly line design. This is a full-time and direct hire position.

Mechanical Automation Design Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Design and development of the whole automated assembly lines for automotive parts manufacturer and OEMs from the concept
• Responsible for designing assembly machines, material handling equipment's, robotics such as screw/tightening machines
• Communicate with clients to understand the all the requirement including quality, safety, budgeting, and scheduling etc.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, and Bill of Materials
• Create records of design changes and project updates for internal and customer use

Mechanical Automation Design Engineer Requirements Include:

• Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years' design experience in custom automated robotics/machineries/assembly line design
• Ability to read, interpret, and improve engineering drawings and schematics
• Ability to do electrical and pneumatic drawings
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to collaborate with other colleagues and departments

Key Responsibilities - Machine Operator:

• Ability to use and read gages (Attribute gages, micrometers, calipers, optical comparator).
• Ability to use basic shop math for making proper machine size adjustments as necessary.

• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve issues as they arise.

• Ability to make offsets to machines - Will train.

Our Machine Operators fill a vital role in the manufacturing process, as they machine the components for our products and act as the first line of defense in the quality control process. They work as a team to produce high-quality components, catch errors, and resolve issues on the fly throughout each day. • Run the first piece and verify that it meets all of the specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch
• Operate machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that the produced parts meet all specifications and requirements
• Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specifications
• Pack finished products as instructed
• Complete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines (Adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits)
• Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and blueprints

Corner Board Machine Operator

Location: Warren (Lordstown) Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Machine Operator to operate corner board machinery within our manufacturing facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stocking all paper and product including inventory neatly using organizing skills
• Operate Corner Board Machines properly per SOPS and utilize quality specifications per standard operating procedures (SOPS).
• Meet production quotas within a reasonable training/retraining time period.
• Ensure housekeeping of equipment and surrounding area is acceptable per SOP. This must be completed daily (clean machines, seep floor, clean any oil spills, return tools and any spare parts etc.)
• Follow safety SOPS and maintain proper use on all PPE at all times of operation (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Generate accurate daily production reporting for Supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, monthly.
• Maintain possession and good condition of assigned tools.
• Alert Supervisor of potential maintenance and/ or safety concerns. Follow all JSA and LOTO procedures.
• Receive and follow designated jo process and safety training.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance of the equipment.
• Operate forklift only if trained to do so. Use a Pallet Jack for most product movements.
• Perform other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED Equivalent
• Related experience is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read micrometer, caliper, and tape measure
