Amentum is seeking an experienced **Marine Engineer** to support a future shipbuilding acquisition program management services contract for US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Team Submarine (TEAM SUB).
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Develops, engineers, and prepares ship machinery and propulsion systems.
+ Designs and oversees installation and repair of marine power plants, propulsion systems, heating and ventilating systems, and other mechanical and electrical equipment in ships, docks, and marine facilities.
+ Studies drawings and specifications and performs complex calculations to conceive equipment and systems designed to meet requirements of marine craft or facility.
+ Oversees and evaluates operation of equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises.
+ May specialize in design of equipment, such as boilers, steam-driven reciprocating engines, heat exchangers, fire-control and communication systems, electric power systems, or piping and related fittings and valves.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

Lead team to carryout Outyear Engineering Requirements for various class of ships including T-AKE
Design and develop fluid systems using design software such as PipeFLO and spreadsheet calculations
Design and develop interfaces between ship systems and new equipment
Author and develop design reports to accompany in-service modifications to ship systems
Develop advanced proficiency in 2D drafting practices to improve in-service modification
**You'll Bring These Qualifications:**
BSME in Marine Engineering
