**Primary Responsibilities:**

Location of position: Davie, FL
**Job Duties**
As our Marine Service Engineer you will be Resolving complex technical issues including commissioning certifications of elevators and escalators and complex troubleshooting by applying the correct analysis procedures. You will also be accountable for the end-users communication with customer on-site marine vessel and the site safety.
Additional Listed Duties
+ Responsible for actively identifying any technical competence gap caused by new equipment in service (both from competitor and from new equipment) and communicate it to supervisor / technical helpdesk.
+ Provide feedback on any repair or adjustment that could reduce call outs and actively communicate with Clinical Specialists, Clinical Analysts and Technical Helpdesk. Responsible for safe working practices and carrying out the operations according to maintenance instructions and safety instructions.
+ Responsible for effectively planning workload in conjunction with the service supervisor.
+ Up to 50% international and domestic travel required, this position requires time spent aboard ships at sea.
**Hiring requirements**
You will bring 3+ years of experience working in the position offered or in a similar Engineering position to KONE.
You will also use the knowledge gained through your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Alternatively, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, this position will also accept no degree and 7 years of experience working in the position offered or in a similar Engineering position).
**Additional Hiring requirements**
+ Up to 50% international and domestic travel required, this position requires time spent aboard ships at sea.
+ 3+ years of experience in de-bugging of Printed Circuit Board assemblies, wiring harnesses, electromechanical assemblies and systems.
+ 3+ years of experience with reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures of marine elevator diagrams in order to provide field support.
+ 3+ years of experience identifying European elevator supply of spare parts in order to ensure necessary parts are available for necessary elevator maintenance.
+ 3+ years of experience with motion and closed loop controls on elevators in order to fix complex troubleshoot on-site.
+ 3+ years of experience with analogy and digital interface control on elevators in order to fix complex troubleshooting on-site.
+ 2+ years of experience with performing annual inspections of European elevators in order to ensure elevators comply with local and country regulations.

Job Description
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Maritime Systems Division in Long Beach, MS. This role supports the development and integration of advanced shipboard marine power systems for next-generation manned and unmanned maritime platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in marine electrical systems and proficiency in AutoCAD for schematic and layout design.
The ideal candidate will contribute to both new designs and legacy system upgrades for vessels used in commercial, industrial, or defense applications. Experience with harsh environmental considerations, compliance with marine standards, and hands-on commissioning is essential.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design and develop shipboard electrical power systems, including AC/DC distribution, switchgear, and control systems
+ Create and modify electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD
+ Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ABS, DNV, IEEE, USCG, and IMO regulations
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate subsystems into maritime platforms
+ Support prototype development, testing, and field deployment
+ Conduct verification and validation activities for marine electrical systems
+ Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans and reports
+ Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to improve reliability and performance
**Required Qualifications**

**Location**
This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO office locations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform design reviews and evaluate constructability. Independently performs work that requires conventional engineering but may also perform more complex engineering work with higher level technical supervision. Conduct technical evaluations of structural analysis and load calculations to ensure the sound design and compliance meeting requirements.
+ Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
+ Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
+ Design and prepare engineering calculations, drawings and reports and related documentation, and devises charts and graphs to record results.
+ Utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for reviewing and compiling information for data entry and transferring files and electronic/digital scans. Experience in maintaining, organizing, tracking the status, and prioritizing engineering documents (both physical and electronic records).
+ Resolve technical issues and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of and practices of related specialties carried out by others.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field is required.
+ Marine background and experience is required.
+ Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility within the United States.
+ 3+ years marine / naval / structural engineering experience.
+ Experience with design of waterfront structures such as wharves, marine cofferdams, basic naval architecture such as simple stability analysis, roll-on roll-off, and marine transport all preferred.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings, industry journals, documents & regulations such as ABS, Lloyds, DMV etc., and industry standards such as CSA, AISC, ACI, etc.
+ Specific technical knowledge of hydrostatics, vessel stability, soil-structure interaction, and structural analysis.
+ Experience with engineering design software will be an advantage; this includes AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, General HydroStatics (GHS) etc.
+ Experience with working in a team setting.
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals at all levels of the organization.
+ Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
+ Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
+ Ability to travel/TDY assignments and/or relocate based on business needs.
