**POSITION DETAILS**

MAP is evolving from a traditional retail media network into something more dynamic, more immersive and more aligned with how people shop, and becoming the first Retail Experience Network.
This is a **unique opportunity** to join a fast-growing, highly visible team within Sam's Club, focused on planning and executing digital campaigns onsite and offsite leveraging our extensive and robust first-party membership data to drive impactful results for our brand partners. MAP is a key pillar within Sam's Club growth strategy and critical to building the best, most engaging omni-channel experiences for our members.
As a **Director of** **Media Activation** , you will **_lead a team_** of **Media Activation Managers** **_responsible_** for building and executing all campaigns, inclusive of optimizations on onsite and offsite (eg. The Trade Desk, Meta) platforms to ensure that advertiser goals are met and MAP delivers on results, providing expertise on strategic recommendations for advertisers in partnership with Account Management and Sales, and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders on all client communications with a high-engagement service model. You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, Center of Excellence, and Head of Creative Operations to drive priorities for MAP. This role will report directly to the Head of Client Success for MAP.
The **ideal candidate** will have a strong baseline knowledge of how a digital media business operates, so they understand the various interdependencies and hand-offs across the functional teams to create and implement large-scale strategies across a growing organization.
**What you'll** **do** **:**
+ Focused on developing talent, building talent pipelines, fostering an environment allowing everyone to bring their best selves to work, empowering associates and partners to act in the best interest of the customer and company, and regularly recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments
+ Drive the Media Activation team performance, inclusive of media planning, campaign launch and optimization, and post-campaign insights and future recommendations to Account Management and Sales across MAP's core product portfolio (Search, Display, Programmatic, and video)
+ Lead MAP Ops cross-functional initiatives to drive operational efficiencies for the Media Activation team as well as the broader MAP Ops organization in partnership with the MAP Leadership team and Head of Client Success.
+ Lead the Media Activation roadmap, manage priorities and timelines in partnership with the Head of Client Success, Head of Operations and other cross-functional teams
+ Develop operational excellence for Media Activation inclusive of processes, ways of working, culture, policy, and structure.
+ Strong troubleshooting skill and oversight of the implementation and integration of new emerging tools and/or technologies that will enable MAP to work effectively and efficiently as an organization
+ Responsible for setting and maintaining high-level focus on member impact, advertiser success and act as a strategic partner to wide cross section of key internal stakeholders to facilitate, manage and prioritize demands that help meet and exceed revenue targets and department goals.
+ Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset; fosters an environment that supports learning, innovation, and exhibits resilience in the face of setbacks. 
+ Drives continuous improvements, supervises the adoption of new technology, and supports digital disruption in line with the Sam's Club business model.
+ Manage relationships with media partners to ensure accurate platform implementation on behalf of the Media Activation team.
+ Builds strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners; works collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve objectives; and communicates with energy to influence and inspire commitment and action.

**What** **you'll** **bring** **:**
+ **15+ years of digital media/ad ops/industry experience - retail media industry experience preferred**
+ **5+ years of leading large teams through foundational building of process to mature operational execution **
+ Knowledge and experience working with CRM, order management systems, ad servers, DSPs, BI platforms and other related advertising tools and systems.
+ **Strong understanding of the advertising technology** **and data/performance measurement trends**
+ **Strong analytical thinking** and the ability to clearly communicate findings and solutions, both written and verbal
+ Demonstrable success as a leader of change, by achieving operational excellence by optimizing processes and systems.
+ Ability to move fast, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.
+ Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with a strong focus on collaboration.
+ Demonstrates strong leadership with the ability to build, train, coach and develop a high performing team.
+ Strong project management skills
