We’re seeking future team members for our Data Management team with roles located in Pittsburgh. PA or Lake Mary, FL in HYBRID positions.
- Implementing the Data Management and Governance Operating Model which in turn will ensure the quality, integrity, and governance of critical data assets across Risk and Finance organization
- Collaborate with stakeholder to support data management sustainability and excellence
- Work closely with business units, data owners, and data custodians to identify critical data assets, define data quality requirements, and build data lineage.
- Collaborate with data management teams, including data architecture, data engineering, and metadata management to ensure alignment and integration in accordance with enterprise data management policies and standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Data Governance Operating Model and provide guidance and support to stakeholders across Risk and Finance.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Experienced hands-on Data Governance, Regulatory Reporting across Risk or Finance domains from concept to implementation with a demonstrable track record of delivery.
- 5-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in a Data Governance role supporting Risk and or Finance. Experience over operational activities (business analysis, testing, etc.), reference data and/or enterprise data management or data governance preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure. You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and play an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution. The ability to apply backlog prioritization to define sprint goals and enable iterative deliveries is key.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management concepts, and regulatory requirements (e.g. BCBS 239, GDPR)
- Experience with data governance tooling and technologies, data profiling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues and drive effective solutions
- People Leadership, be able to inspire and build momentum across the team but you are also a team player, happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.

This position plays a key role in establishing, executing, and improving our Data Governance framework across multiple talent-related source applications supported by the People, Purpose, and Brand Data Office. Responsibilities
- Strengthen and automate data management controls, incorporating both short-term needs and long-term support strategies.
- Perform routine data investigations to profile and analyze data sets, addressing data quality and integrity issues.
- Build and implement tools to monitor data quality.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Tech teams to establish new, and enhance existing, data pipelines into our Snowflake-based analytical warehouse.
- Manage security measures that enable data access restrictions.
- Define and document data element definitions, including associated metadata.
- Evaluate processes for gaps and inefficiencies, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Leverage data to solve business use cases, including packaging and communicating recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Design and execute iterative solution testing to ensure desired product specifications are met.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Familiarity with Agile practices
- Familiarity with process management a plus
- 3-5 years coding experience in data management, data warehousing, or unstructured data environments
- 1-3 years experience with NoSQL tools a plus

Position-Specific Duties: BAIE - Labor and Workforce Management Analytics
As a Team Member of Universal's Business Analytics and Industrial Engineering team, you will work with business partners in multiple theme park operational areas, helping to ensure our Workforce and Labor needs are met by focusing on forecasting labor demand and optimization of staffing. You will also partner with Finance partners, other Data Science teams, and HR partners as needed, to ensure our staffing procedures are allocated and optimized through all levels of demand, seasonality's, employment classification statuses, etc.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead a team of analysts and/or Data Scientists and individually participate in formulating and applying advance analytical approaches in the development of workforce planning, forecasting, operations research and optimization models across all divisions and parks.
+ Support and guide Analysts and Data Scientists on the use of advanced model development and optimization techniques across other team verticals and other parks.
+ Prepare and deliver OCF generating recommendations and strategies to improve workforce planning and operations research across UPR.
+ Analyze system capabilities and recommend and lead changes and/or updates and testing to ensure technology can support future initiatives.
+ Establish key performance tracking metrics and monitor ongoing performance; validate and optimize workforce planning optimization models and process assumptions and settings on an ongoing basis.
+ Add, test, and adjust new model enhancements to improve the accuracy of recommendations.
+ Troubleshoot forecast and optimization anomalies with workforce planning team through the use of statistical and mathematical optimization models.
+ Develop testing to explain and or reduce these anomalies.
+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor's and Master's degree is required.
+ Ph.D. is preferred. MS and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Minimum of 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
