Summary:
The Pharmacy Medication History Technician (MHT) is responsible for obtaining and documenting patients' current prior to admission medication(s) into the hospital's electronic medical record, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date for use by providers, nurses, and pharmacists during the patients' admission, discharge, and transition of care.
Responsibilities:
1. Interviews patients, family members, guardians, etc. to obtain complete medication histories.
2. Communicates with providers, retail pharmacies, living facilities, etc. for additional medication history information and verify accuracy.
3. Document medication histories in the patient's electronic medical record.
4. Notifies pharmacist(s) of any discrepancies or potential patient safety issues identified in obtaining the medication histories.
5. Communicate with staff and other care providers regarding assigned duties.
6. Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy services such as medication delivery, drug information, etc.
7. Operates and supports automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients, according to pharmacist and provider orders.
8. Orders, receives, restocks and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management .
9. Contributes to process improvement projects.
10. Completes regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas, including inspections and/or controlled substance inventories, and other regulatory documentation as required.
11. Adheres to controlled substance policies and all policies and procedures of the department. Ensures accurate dispensing and documentation of controlled substances.
12. Ensures necessary safety and quality control in the medication use system.
13. Is available and flexible to work varied schedules as required to ensure coverage for the area.
Other information:
**Education**
High school diploma or equivalent required and completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program
**Licensure/Certification**
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment
- Pharmacy technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.
- Ability to obtain PTCB Medication History Certificate.
**Experience**
- Prior experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of drug names, medical terminology.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service to teammates, patients, supervisors and providers.
- Attention to detail and a good work ethic.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new pharmacy software rapidly.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.
**The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.50 to $18.00 USD hourly. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
+ May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
+ Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
+ Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
+ Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
+ Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
+ Notify supervisor if any one of the following items is discovered in the patient's home:
a) Physical abuse of any family member
b) Home environment is unsafe for the care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children
c) Animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions
+ May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.
+ Perform routine vehicle maintenance including the checking of gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes. Report malfunctions to supervisor.
+ Performs other duties as required.

How you'll contribute

The Cat Scan Technician performs high‑quality computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with established standards of practice to support accurate and timely diagnostic decisions. This role reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients on procedures, prepares and administers contrast media within scope, and monitors patient condition throughout the exam. Technicians ensure safe and effective operation of CT equipment through proper setup, adherence to safety protocols, performance of quality control checks, and prompt reporting of equipment issues. How you'll contribute

The Cat Scan Technician performs high‑quality computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with established standards of practice to support accurate and timely diagnostic decisions. This role reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients on procedures, prepares and administers contrast media within scope, and monitors patient condition throughout the exam. Technicians ensure safe and effective operation of CT equipment through proper setup, adherence to safety protocols, performance of quality control checks, and prompt reporting of equipment issues. Responsibilities include positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, analyzing scan quality, and taking corrective action when needed. The Technician participates in performance improvement, maintains accurate documentation and scan reporting, provides flexible coverage across shifts or units, and upholds regular, reliable attendance. This position requires the ability to work safely in an acute care environment with patients across the lifespan and exposure to biological and chemical hazards.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have

• Two-year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree

• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and Computed Tomography

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• On-Call Requirement: Must accept on-call assignments for scheduled shifts and be available to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification
