The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Altius, and Bolt. from paper sketches to operational systems. ABOUT THE JOB
We are hiring a Systems Engineer with networking and cybersecurity experience to lead the design and implementation of a networking stack to enable command and control (C2) and collaborative autonomy of distributed unmanned systems.
- Lead the integration of emerging networking capabilities, bringing new hardware and software products into the family of systems
- Lead networking requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams, defining success in the face of ambiguity
- Design network laydowns and configurations decomposed from complex design reference missions (DRMs) involving large scale unmanned systems and forward-deployed C2 systems
- Design, implement, deploy, and troubleshoot system networking solutions focused on Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport) of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model, and that meet and exceed industry-standard security goals
- Own systems end to end with the ability to identify and solve networking problems between the seams, scrutinize system performance, make tradeoffs, and deliver an outcome
- Perform trade-off studies of different comms and networking solutions including government provided technologies
- Build robust tooling for benchmarking and analyzing network traffic
- Analyze test network infrastructure, develop recommendations, and implement improvements for network reliability and throughput for edge network
- Collaborate extensively with software engineers to build a representative modeling and simulation environment including hardware-in-the-loop lab infrastructure
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience with tools such as: JAMA, Cameo, Matlab, Simulink, AFSIM
- 5+ years experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Rust for analysis and simulation
- Skilled in Statistics and AI/ML
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of engineering standards into engineering processes or requirements
- 7+ years of experience with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems).

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. **The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm** , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Builds analytic and design skills.
+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ BS Civil Engineering or similar field
+ Previous professional experience using ACAD and/or Civil 3D
+ AviPlan software experience
+ Field construction experience
+ Ability to be on-site at airports with clear security background
+ EIT/FE with the ability to obtain PE within 2 years

+ Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans and regulations.
+ Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
+ Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data and occupancy rates.
+ Assists in evaluating re-zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances and other proposals.
+ Coordinates community review of public and private development projects.
+ Provides information to the public regarding development regulations.
+ Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues.
+ Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments.
