What we need to see:

The Customer Validation Testing (CVT) team is at the forefront of developing solutions that power the largest networks in the world. Your Impact

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, automating, configuring, and qualifying customer use cases based on IOS-XR for platforms such as ASR9K, NCS5500, and 8000. This role includes:

  • Crafting, automating, configuring, and qualifying customer use cases based on IOS XR platforms, generating test plans, and dynamically prioritizing tasks based on customer demands.
  • Designing and developing innovative test frameworks and tools to support the test execution environment, as well as developing web-based GUIs that use analytics and machine learning to thoughtfully display and analyze execution results.
  • Driving test cases both manually and through automation, raising, tracking, prioritizing, and verifying defects and fixes.
  • Proactively seeking continuous improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation, optimizing performance and configuration dimensioning.
  • Reproducing customer issues in internal test labs as requested by the customer support team.
  • Collaborating with the development team, account team, and customers to understand and validate customer use cases.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or Masters in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Networking domain experience working with L2 or L3 networking protocols such as ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, GRE, MPLS-TE, LDP, RSVP, Segment routing, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN.
  • Experience in networking software quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate in CCIE (Routing & Switching / Service Provider / Data Center).
  • Experience on platforms such as ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, NCS540/NCS560, NCS6K, CRS, 8000.
  • Demonstrated experience with RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) technologies and related protocols such as InfiniBand, RoCE, or iWARP.
  • Experience in OpenFlow, Netconf & REST API.
  • Background in network automation tools like pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, Robot framework, and Cisco NSO.

What You'll Do

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,000 - $25,000. Our vehicle connectivity team is looking for a software engineer with experience shipping software in the network stack. You'll be part of a team that's working to ship the best and most reliable connectivity in any vehicle. Your role will focus on designing and implementing software on the Linux-based platform in our vehicle, and building the tooling we use to monitor and improve it.

We are making major changes to our networking software, and you'll be at the heart of it. You'll participate in the design process, and work closely with our application and cloud teams to ensure we're building a well-integrated system. Your software will be running on hardware that we design, so you'll work closely with hardware teams to meet the tricky power and reliability requirements of vehicles.

  1. Defines and leads corporate software strategy for new technology, highly complex features, or significant enhancements for current, new, or major programs.
  2. Provide technical leadership to execution teams for development and integration.
  3. Leads comprehensive design analysis of design solution
  4. Lead integration and verification testing of an integrated software build
  5. Stays abreast of new technology and competitive products and defines GM direction.
  6. Provide, communicate, and support common best practices among software community
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  8. Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more platform or application components.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
