We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at a peaceful and new orthopedic physical therapy clinic located in the 33136 zip code in a brand new building. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to transition to full-time if they would like , based on clinic needs and employee preference. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently , and is comfortable with a high degree of autonomy in their role. Hours can be chosen by PTA as long as it stays consistent for the most part through the year.

Responsibilities
Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions.
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs.
Perform manual therapy techniques as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
Communicate effectively with patients, the supervising Physical Therapist, and administrative staff.
Qualifications
Current and valid PTA license in the state of Florida.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a PTA, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques .
Strong ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:
- Provides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment
- Confers with Physical Therapist regularly regarding patient’s plan of treatment, status of progress toward goals, questions and concerns
- Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment and department areas
- Reports any problems with department equipment to the appropriate personnel to ensure that it is maintained in good working order
- Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assists in securing special adaptive equipment for patient to improve function. Incorporates the use of adaptive equipment to enhance the rehabilitation program
- Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations
- Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws
- Attends, participates in and/or conducts internal staff development programs and meetings; obtains continuing education as required by company policy and regulations; maintains and enhances clinical practice skills

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Responsible for providing therapeutic modalities of treatment as supervised by the Physical Therapist. Demonstrates effective resource utilization, which is critical to operational stability within the organization. Participates in performance improvement and program growth. **What qualifications you will need:**
+ · AS degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and current licensure in the State of Florida.
+ · Holds current license as Physical Therapist Assistant.
