Essential Duties
- Interacts in a professional manner with students, parents, and teachers
- Provides services to students, parents, and teachers for conferences according to District policies

Certification/Licensure
Must hold a current Georgia Quality Assurance Screening (G-QAS) rating of Level III or higher in both interpreting and transliterating, as approved and maintained by the Georgia Department of Labor/Vocational Rehabilitation Program (DOL/VRGDL/VRP)
and/or documentation of advanced interpreting skills and qualifications through current national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
and/or documentation of advanced interpreting skills and qualifications through current national certification from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Levels III, IV, or V
and/or documentation of advanced interpreting skills and qualifications through a current Educational Interpreters Performance Assessment (EIPA) rating of Level 3.5 or higher; The EIPA rating cannot be more than 5 years old

Primary Purpose:

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assessment
1. Select and administer formal and informal assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services according to federal and Texas Education Agency regulations.
2. Compile and evaluate comprehensive student information including classroom observations; personal interviews with the student, teachers(s), parents and others; and relevant assessment data from student’s cumulative folder. Consult with parents and teacher concerning the educational needs of students and interpretation of assessment data.
3. Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist with interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students according to district procedures.
Consultation
4. Present staff development training in assigned schools to assist school personnel in identifying and understanding students with disabilities.
5. Assist classroom teachers with implementation of IEP.
Program Management
6. Participate in the selection of assessment materials and equipment.
7. Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of the assessment program and make changes based on findings.
8. Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents required.
9. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations.

The Kentucky Department of Education is a service agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and part of the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The department provides resources and guidance to Kentuckys public schools and districts as they implement the states P-12 education requirements. - Provide directions in planning, organizing, analyzing/manage data collection related to school funding and reporting.
- Provide technical assistance to districts and Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) staff.
- Analyze processes for further improvements with district staff, Kentucky Education Technology System (KETS), KDE tech developers and other Information Technology staff.
- Serve as liaison between KDE and Local Educational Agencies (LEA's) regarding school district financial and student data.
- Act as liaison with other KDE branches to track, update and confirm when data is available for use.
- Provide assistance in completing various state and federal reports as well as open records requests.
- Communicate frequently with districts via phone and email to resolve data collection issues and to enforce deadlines for data submission.
- Provide suggestions to improve collection processes.
- Ensure Chart of Accounts and district reporting aligns with federal guidelines.
- Assist in evaluation of proposed state and federal legislation and the impact on districts and reporting standards.
- Work with districts and cooperatives regarding indirect cost rates.
- Assist with facilitation of monthly Support Education Excellence in Kentucky (SEEK) payments to districts by following internal processes and uploading information into the state payment system.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in school administration, planning, public administration, business administration, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in the field of school finance will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
