Key Responsibilities Design, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, LLaMA, T5) for generative AI, summarization, classification, and conversational use cases. Develop intelligent agent-based applications using LangChain, incorporating prompt templates, tools, chains, memory modules, and RAG pipelines. Architect, develop, and deploy AI/ML systems within AWS, including SageMaker, Lambda, Bedrock, Redshift, S3, and ECS/EKS. Integrate and optimize OpenAI APIs, including GPT-4, embeddings, and function calling, for a variety of public sector applications. Build robust MLOps pipelines for model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring using MLflow, SageMaker Pipelines, and Step Functions. Implement and manage vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, OpenSearch) for embedding search and retrieval. Ensure all AI/ML implementations meet federal security, privacy, and compliance requirements in alignment with Public Trust clearance standards. Conduct experimentation with prompt engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and inference optimization for maximum performance. Collaborate across cross-functional teams (engineering, DevOps, compliance) to deploy and maintain production-ready AI services. Document architecture, workflows, and decisions to support transparency, reproducibility, and auditability. Stay current with emerging AI/ML trends, particularly in LLMs, LangChain, OpenAI advancements, and AWS AI/ML services. ️ Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in machine learning and AI system development. Strong background in NLP and transformer-based architectures, including experience with GPT-style LLMs. Hands-on experience with LangChain to build advanced AI agents and prompt orchestration workflows. Proficiency in OpenAI APIs (ChatGPT, GPT-4, fine-tuning, embeddings, function calling). Demonstrated experience working with AWS services including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, Redshift, ECS, EKS. **Description**
As a member of this premier team, you will work on the intersection of NLP, Machine Learning and Software Engineering.
The position requires proven hands-on NLP experience in conjunction with Software Engineering. The role spans the entire gamut of NLP: text processing, empirical experimentation for building state-of-the-art NLP models, productizing Generative AI features for Apple. You will collaborate closely with several engineering teams at Apple that work on machine learning and NLP.
**Minimum Qualifications**

The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
