Requirements
• Currently working 12 hour shifts. Must be open to staying for daily overtime.
• Must have a good working knowledge of product labeling to ensure correct product is being shipped or received.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming or outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepare and expedite shipments - wrap pallets with plastic and affix labels, including any special customer labels; scan labels into the system; move pallets from the production floor to the warehouse and stack; fill out bills of lading and complete any additional paperwork; input information into the computer.
• Move finished products and ingredients to and from the production floor as required - pick up any returns.
• Stage product and loads the Customer trucks. Partial loads need to be stacked by hand only.
• Deliver pallets and sample cases to R&D or QC.

Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure product is shipped and received on time and processed into our inventory as accurately as possible while preserving traceability. The Material Handler I is responsible for the success of assigned functions within IFEC and the Distribution Center. Primarily, the Material Handler I is responsible for site success through lean distribution/manufacturing and best-in-class warehouse management strategies. Position Summary
Our Material Handlers are an important part of the production team. They support our different locations and create smooth sailing for the team, while maintaining production and distribution of our product to meet our customer needs.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

Unloads trucks and stocks materials

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Picks and prepares customer orders for shipment

Maintains inventory and cycle count accuracy
Qualifications and Skill Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 0-1 years of fabrication experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proper lifting techniques required

At YKK AP America Inc., base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role in Southern California is between $23.49 - $29.18 per hour and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
