SUMAMRY
The Packer is responsible for accuracy of bag weights, sealing and labeling of bags, coding of bags, checking to be sure the correct bags are being packed, and ensuring volume of output. They are also responsible for keeping the work area neat and clean. Packers may be assigned other duties as needed by the Manager/Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate the pack line in an efficient manner to meet operating targets for efficiency, downtime, and minimal rework
- Repair pallets of finished product as they occur (broken bags, missing labels etc.)
- Operate Forklift
- Pull pallets of flour from packing line and place them accurately in designated storage areas with proper scanning using Scanwork
- Operate tote packer; fill totes with farina, whole wheat, flour, etc.
- Understand and use Scanworx inventory system in regards to warehouse packing supplies and finished product movements
- Understand policies and procedures set forth by BSM, USDA & other applicable food production entities
QUALIFICATION S To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must have operational knowledge of packing equipment, including a Packer, Check-Weigher, Stacker/Bundler, Palletizer, and Stretch Hooder
- Must be capable of trouble-shooting common issues and communicating problems to maintenance/management
- Must be Forklift Certified
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to perform basic math functions, with or without the aid of a calculator
- Must be capable of learning computer entry
- Must be an independent worker with self-initiative to carry out job functions
- Must be willing to rotate shifts and cover absences if required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is exposed to vibrations. The work environment is noisy, at times in excess of 100 decibels.

The Packing/Fulfillment Associate plays a vital role in ensuring customer orders are processed, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This position involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling products, and ensuring that all orders meet the company's quality standards. 1. **Order Fulfillment:**
- Pick products from inventory according to order specifications.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and descriptions against the order sheet.
- Prepare items for shipment by assembling boxes, packing products securely, and labeling packages.
2. **Packing and Quality Control:**
- Pack products safely and efficiently to minimize damage during shipping.
- Inspect items for defects or damage before packing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure correct packing materials are used based on product type and size.
3. **Shipping and Documentation:**
- Prepare and print shipping labels and ensure they are affixed correctly to packages.
- Process shipments using warehouse management software and other systems.
- Maintain accurate records of shipped orders, including tracking information.
4. **Inventory Management:**
- Assist in inventory control by organizing stock and performing regular inventory counts.
- Replenish packing supplies as needed and notify management when inventory is low.
- Help with restocking and organizing products in the warehouse.
5. **Safety and Cleanliness:**
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the packing area clean and organized to ensure efficient workflow.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move packages up to (weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
The Packing/Fulfillment Associate will work primarily in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and the need to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Safety equipment, such as gloves and safety shoes, may be required.

The Material Handling Product Specialist will provide technical product and application expertise to customers and prospects for our Material Handling equipment line. Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $92,000 - 97,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
