Production Manager oversees the safe and efficient operation of the Power and Production Department areas within the Silver Springs manufacturing facility. Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the manufacturing process such as environmental compliance, production/processing, quality control and maintenance. Accountable for well fields, brine treatment, evaporation, drying and boiler operations.

* Ensures Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) performance and compliance.

The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations within a biopharmaceutical silicone and plastics injection molding facility, ensuring compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements. This role combines production leadership with RPS (Repligen Performance System) Lean methodology responsibilities, driving efficiency, process excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve production targets while embedding Lean principles into daily operations.
Responsibilities
Production Leadership (Primary Focus):
Manage day-to-day production activities to meet EHS, Quality, Productivity, and RPS Lean objectives.
Ensure compliance with Repligen Policies, SOPs, ISO, and other applicable biopharmaceutical regulations.
Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of multiple production processes and shifts.
Monitor production metrics (OEE, yield, throughput, deviations, schedule adherence) and take corrective/preventive action as required utilizing RPS Lean Tools.
Supervise, train, and develop production supervisors, leads, and operators. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement. Lead by example in reinforcing cGMP and Lean behaviors on the shop floor. Conduct performance reviews and provide developmental feedback.
Lean & Continuous Improvement (Secondary Focus):
* Lead Kaizen events, 5S, standard work implementation, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis (RCA).
* Train and mentor teams in RPS Lean tools (e.g., A3, SMED, TPM, visual management).
* Develop Lean metrics and dashboards to measure progress and impact.
* Partner with Operations, Quality, Facilities & Maintenance, Engineering, and Planning to eliminate waste and improve flow.
Leadership & Program Building:
* Build a culture of continuous improvement across all functional departments within the site.
* Coach frontline supervisors and team leads to become Lean leaders.
* Establish and grow a Lean champion network within the plant.
* Support recognition programs to reward Lean improvements and team engagement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Achievement of production schedule adherence.
* Reduction of deviations, rework, and waste. Improvement in OEE and throughput.
* Progress in Lean maturity (5S audits, Kaizen participation, process standardization).

Strategic Growth Toward Operations Leadership:

Qualifications
Required:

* Strong knowledge of Lean principles and proven success in implementing Lean projects.
* Experience facilitating cross-functional improvement activities.
* Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills; ability to influence at all levels.
Preferred:
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

About the Production Manager Role:
BRIC seeks a Production Manager with theatrical background to supervise and execute event productions. They will oversee several overlapping events throughout the year using in-person, hybrid, or virtual formats for the following departments: the producing departments, administration, development, partnerships, and rentals. What You'll Do in the Role:
The Production Manager will be responsible for the following in addition to any other projects as assigned by their manager, the Director of Production:
- Plan, devise and coordinate all technical and staging requirements for each event.
- Lead and manage all production meetings, processes, equipment, and crew related to BRIC productions.
- Create and maintain departmental documentation including meeting reports, staffing spreadsheets, payroll reminders, personnel information, technical operation manuals, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate information about the event to all support teams including marketing, development, venue operations, and media operations.
- Develop and implement production policies that ensure safe working conditions and high organizational and artistic standards.
- Act as Technical point of contact for BRIC Producers, Partnerships, Rental Clients, and technical production related vendors.
- Manage hiring and scheduling processes for all freelance staff and vendors through assessing skills, staffing production crews, and approving timesheets.
- Train and mentor artists and freelance staff during load-ins, technical rehearsals, performances, and strikes.
- Coordinate resource allocation with internal and external stakeholders including: Operations, BRICTV, Community Media, Contemporary Arts, and vendors in collaboration with Production Department leadership.
- Collaborate with the team to execute post-production debriefs and workflows to ensure the success of future events.

- LMA - Leads, Manages, and holds Accountable all direct reports

- Oversees Plant safety program development and compliance; enforces safety policies and practices to ensure culture of health and safety; identifies safety hazards and works with management team on corrective actions; ensures housekeeping requirements are completed and machinery is operated in accordance with safety procedures
- Assists with special projects as necessary including, but not limited to; equipment purchases, plant layout, new processes, etc
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as a manager in a production environment or equivalent combination of education and experience - Engineering experience preferred.
- Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with business systems software, Microsoft office programs and CAD
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with basic machine operation and machine capabilities
- Proven leadership and delegation skills
- 5S, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow; able to multi-task
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Responsibilities
Production Management (60%)
Oversee the end-to-end production process from manuscript to final print production for AP Access team materials, including Instructional Services team materials, Pre-AP Course Framework, Teacher and Student Resources, and Outreach team educator materials.
Develop and manage production schedules
Ensure quality control and consistency across all published materials
Resolve any production issues that arise during the process
Manage the permissions schedule and process for the development of instructional material.
Manage digital production of all assets to the AP Professional Learning Platform.
Inventory Management (30%)
Manage product inventory to ensure most current version and description of resources are available in the *** store and when needed for AP Professional Learning.
Coordinate with the Catalog Request team to request new item numbers/product descriptions or update current product descriptions as needed.
Manage the ordering process for materials for AP Summer Institutes, including product descriptions.
Coordinate with APSI team and train endorsed sites on the ordering process annually
Maintain most current version of materials to Professional Learning/Consultant Management and International teams
Manage access of student samples from AP Reading team
Vendor Management (10%)
Establish strong print vendor relationships to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
Responsible for getting electronic files and updates to vendor; for shipping issues or CS cases or escalations, should loop in store support
Document processes and implement automation where possible.
Qualifications:
5+ years of years of print and digital production experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale content delivery initiatives in an educational context.
Demonstrated ability managing end-to-end project deliverables.
Demonstrated capacity for digital asset development
Advanced proficiency in print production tool, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and planning skills, including high attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Position Summary:
Based in Syracuse, NY the Production Manager will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the General Manager to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.
* Directs activities of production and maintains appropriate production staffing as needed to meet company goals.
* Responsible for shop production schedules and conducts production meetings including supervisors' meetings.
* Ensures customers' needs are appropriately met by shipping to schedule with minimum turnaround time and a high degree of quality, working closely with the Quality Manager.
* Responsible for communicating policy changes from top management to others in supervision and ensures supervisors' understanding of management philosophies, safety, product handling, equipment capabilities and customer needs.
* Responsible for enforcing company handbook and communicates with Office Manager and/or General Manager on matters relating to discipline.
