**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Responsible for eliminating safety incidents, improving package quality, improving equipment efficiency, and developing leadership capability and morale on a production line.

**REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:**

Overview: Utility is the entry level position in our Processing Department. Assists workers by performing general labor operations in the positions of Helper, Rack Person, Hook-Up, and Loader and supports operators as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
• Facilitates set up activities as requested by operator.
• Assist Operators pulling heaters after stoppages.
• Put pieces back on the line at line loaders.
• Empty trash containers in Forge and Steel Buildings.
• Assist crane operators hooking up and clearing pit jams.
• Guides the completed 1st end from take-away conveyor to the rack.
• Switches exit ends on the conveyor when racks are full.
• Verifies all bundles have tags with part and heat codes.
• Maintains all wood in the steel buildings. Ensures that it is organized and stacked safely.
• Maintains all bins and floor free of loose wood and debris.
• Loads the coater and the press rack.
• Operates the pallet conveyor to bring a full skid into position when one has been emptied without stopping the press or letting it run with empty passes.
• Loads cycle push buttons.
• Watches for heat changes and ensures that heats are not mixed. Inform the Operator or Foreman when one is about to occur.
• Verifies that the pallet of material has a Green accept tag before loading into the coater. Notifies the Operator or Foreman if no Green accept tag is found.
• Watches for material conditions that are not suited to run through the coater and informs the Operator, i.e. rust, oil or any other contamination that may occur
• Runs sonic reject pieces during periods of downtime and at the end of the job.

Work Environment:

Perform QC review of study data and perform inspections. Monitor and track common errors and assist with document modification to reduce error and deviations. Assist with implementing and monitoring quality control (QC) standards, methods, and procedures.

**POSITION SUMMARY:**
Supervises employees who plan raw materials & packaging purchases to support plant production. Develops the detailed production schedule (DPS) for the plant. Checks actual against scheduled production. Alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions/events. Ensures maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment. Meets the production requirements for finished products as determined by the MPS plan. Responsible for maintaining raw material inventory within budgeted guidelines and have a JIT approach to material deliveries.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Create a workable monthly production schedule for the plant each month, maximizing opportunities to decrease plant cost per case and improve the plant's operating efficiency
+ Supervise the workgroup by providing direction, priorities and training and managing departmental staffing issues
+ Optimize cost for the factory and for Supply Chain using NCE/LEAN tools and processes
+ Act as a liaison between the plant and Division Supply Chain in determining the best solutions for the company in regard to the production plan
+ Manage and monitor inventory of raw material and packaging and ensure that all commodities are available and meet production needs
+ Manage crisis situations that are due to raw material rejections/holds, late deliveries, vendor shorts, staffing problems, weather, etc. Provide direction on production priorities to plant management when these occur
+ Communicate Globe master data requirements to pertinent groups to ensure that production timelines are met
+ Ensure all manufacturing procedures comply with government and Nestle standards for food safety and quality
+ Maintain SAP APO, & OMP master data to ensure system integrity
+ Publish: Detailed Production Schedule, Schedule Changes shutdown priorities when required, and e-mails that are required to ensure that all plant operating groups are aware of production changes, limitations, abnormal events, etc.
+ Communicate with all plant and divisional groups as well as vendors in an effective manner regarding production needs, problems and issues

**REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:**
+ BA / BS Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or related degree preferred
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ 3 years progressive experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment
+ Previous supervisory/people leader responsibilities preferred
+ Firm understanding of manufacturing production and distribution processes
+ Good understanding of manufacturing and logistic processes
