Job Description
Critical leadership role within AbbVie BTS. Position provides leadership to deliver and support key strategies, system functionality and system support for Procurement. Position provides strategic and tactical BTS leadership to achieve business and enterprise operating objectives, including system delivery and support of key business solutions. Key responsibilities include the stewarding of global solutions, driving the delivery of a transformative business systems strategy, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, and having an enterprise mindset that solves end-to-end business problems.
Responsibilities
+ Defining and executing the technology strategies that will enable a world class business
+ In-depth knowledge of multiple critical business functions and processes. Possess a working knowledge of the drug development lifecycle and domain expertise in the business functions with focus on end-to-end Source to Pay capabilities
+ Leadership in the development and implementation of large-scale complex programs including business case, governance structures and accountability, service strategies, program plans, goals and metrics, processes, change management, supplier contracts, competitive benchmarking, and communications
+ Effectively frames complex issues for decision makers and peers. Facilitates the design of innovative solutions, partners with clients to develop compelling business cases, sells new ideas to management and plans/oversees effective implementation of major technology initiatives
+ Understands and executes AbbVie's vision, goals and strategies. Develop and execute BTS strategies in alignment with other AbbVie businesses
+ Demonstrates experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including the assessment of leading technologies all the way through having expertise in delivering operational excellence
+ Leads project teams effectively including escalation and resolution of project issues. Demonstrates disciplined project management expertise, effective group facilitation skills, and the ability to drive consensus among team members
+ Exercises superior management skills in order to create and sustain an environment that attracts, develops, and retains BTS staff
+ Takes a leadership role in creating positive team experience across the BTS business unit in alignment with our ongoing focus on increasing employee engagement. Identify opportunities for development for team members. Ensure active partnerships and open communication across teams
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and external Policies and procedures
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. MS/MBA desirable
+ Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' experience; Master's Degree with 9 years' experience; PhD with 5 years' experience.
+ IT management experience
+ Experience in leading and organizing project teams and working across organizational boundaries
+ Possess "executive presence" with the ability to influence and advise executive leadership
+ Strong collaboration and strategic thinking skills to help drive continuous improvement solutions
+ Experience in translating organizational, strategic and tactical business plans in IT strategic and operational plans
+ Established management experience to lead, coach and develop individual contributors as well as program team leads
+ Dedicated team player with proven leadership skills to direct cross functional project teams
+ Strong Financial acumen

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the dynamic and frequently demanding system needs of the Nielsen-Massey Vanilla team located remotely, and at the corporate office in Waukegan IL. This Role will support finance and accounting systems, people, processes, and projects, to increase functional effectiveness, resolve issues, and improve staff knowledge and operation of related applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and implement changes and new functionality as needed to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and operational efficiency of Nielsen-Masseys financial system(s) and data.

Provide primary analyst support for finance and accounting ERP and associated work applications.

Work with finance and accounting team members to resolve application system issues.

Support ERP system upgrades and other major system initiatives as needed.

Participate in QA/UAT testing processes as projects or changes may require.

Coordinate internal customer UAT efforts and manage issues log as needed.

Administer project management processes and maintain documentation where needed to successfully manage assigned projects.

Maintain and track IT service requests in workflow management system.

Provide support and development of custom reconciliation processes to support onboarded EDI trading partners.

Ensure timely and thorough communication with team members and stakeholders.

Provide solutions-driven collaboration with team members process improvement initiatives and projects.

Analyze current business processes on-going to make recommendations for improvement based on professional business knowledge and experience.

Perform other IT related duties as assigned.

Position: IT Business Analyst

Reports to: Global Director, IT

Location: Hybrid (mostly remote), Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicagos Loop

Salary Range: 77,000- 90,000 Compensation is based on education, skills, experience and other job-related factors.

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the dynamic and frequently demanding system needs of the Nielsen-Massey Vanilla team located remotely, and at the corporate office in Waukegan IL. This Role will support finance and accounting systems, people, processes, and projects, to increase functional effectiveness, resolve issues, and improve staff knowledge and operation of related applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and implement changes and new functionality as needed to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and operational efficiency of Nielsen-Masseys financial system(s) and data.

Provide primary analyst support for finance and accounting ERP and associated work applications.

Work with finance and accounting team members to resolve application system issues.

Support ERP system upgrades and other major system initiatives as needed.

Participate in QA/UAT testing processes as projects or changes may require.

Coordinate internal customer UAT efforts and manage issues log as needed.

Administer project management processes and maintain documentation where needed to successfully manage assigned projects.

Maintain and track IT service requests in workflow management system.

Provide support and development of custom reconciliation processes to support onboarded EDI trading partners.

Ensure timely and thorough communication with team members and stakeholders.

Provide solutions-driven collaboration with team members process improvement initiatives and projects.

Analyze current business processes on-going to make recommendations for improvement based on professional business knowledge and experience.

Perform other IT related duties as assigned.

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance.

Knowledge and Characteristics:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or eight or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles with experience supporting finance and accounting ERP software modules IS A MUST. Candidates without this experience need not apply.

Intermediate SQL experience writing queries and conducting data analysis.

Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize own work.

Must be able to work autonomously or collaboratively with team members to learn, analyze, and respond to a wide variety of IT related queries, issues, initiatives, and projects.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join our team and lead our financial reporting and oversight activities. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and maintaining financial oversight of Wabtec Bus Solutions business activities while partnering with the business unit leadership team on development and execution of both Strategic and Operating Plan initiatives.
Compliance, Accounting and Controlling of the BU and its allocated Operating Units.
The BU Finance Director directly manages the Bus BU Finance team and is responsible for all Finance and Controlling activities relevant to the Bus Business unit. The Finance Director ensures that all activities listed below are performed on time, on quality and in full compliance with applicable laws and Wabtec rules. He / she arbitrates open questions related to Accounting and Controlling, escalating to Transit CFO where needed.
**_How will you make a difference?_**
+ Lead the Budgeting and financial component of the Strategic Planning (STRAP) processes
+ Monthly USGAAP reporting in OneStream
+ Quarterly closings, including coordination of key closing activities in coordination with Transit and Wabtec Corporate
+ Development & Updating of Excel based financial management tools including Sales & Margin forecasts, P&L forecasts, and related tracking and monitoring tools on a monthly basis or as needed
+ Preparation and distribution of daily/weekly/monthly reports required by Corporate, BU Leadership, Operations, and/or other internal functions as requested
+ Responsible for product costing and annual manufacturing rate updates with comprehensive analysis of YoY changes
+ Prepare and review discounted cash flow analysis of all Capex and other BU investment proposals
+ Yearly closing of local books including all required submissions and narratives
+ Compliance with US GAAP, SOX and Wabtec Group & Corporate policies
+ Cash collection and optimization, working capital improvement - directly and via shared services-based entities
+ Tax planning and tax reports, in collaboration with HQ
+ Banking facilities and all treasury matters, in collaboration with HQ
+ Link with external stakeholders: tax authorities, banks, auditors, local authorities, employees' representatives, and other entities where applicable
+ Link with Group sister companies on financial and administrative matters
+ Link with Transit and Corporate on various Finance initiatives
+ Internal Audits, implementation and follow-up of action plans
+ Business Partnering with the BU Vice President and Senior Staff
+ Day-to-day support to review, pilot, forecast performance of the BU and its OUs
+ Conducting ad 'hoc analysis to support the BU strategy and projects, and/or upon request of the BU VP
+ Represent the BU VP when absent from meetings with Business Group or Corporate
+ Review and challenge Operating Units performances
+ Present the BU monthly performance to Transit Group management, alongside the BU VP. Ensure a fair view of the BU financial performance is presented. Provide adequate insights to Business Group CFO
+ Support BU VP in development and implementation of performance improvement plans including margin improvement plans or other KPI improvement plans
+ Management and development of the Finance team and processes within the BU
+ Daily management of a team of seven finance personnel (General Accounting, Cost Accounting, FP&A) and shared services entities supporting Collections (A/R) and Payables (A/P) related activities
+ Ensure the level of the Finance teams is adequate within the BU (quantity and quality).
+ Ensure the Finance team makes regular progress improvements (training, ERP improvements, process improvements, recruitment plan, etc.).
+ Support with M&A and joint-venture projects, financial integration of newly acquired companies, where applicable
**_What do we want to know about you?_**
+ 10 years finance experience working in a managerial position
+ 10 years of practical experience in public accounting and manufacturing-based business environments preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. CPA designation preferred. MBA a plus
+ Strong leadership skills to manage the Finance team and interact efficiently with Sr. Staff and all stakeholders.
+ Success as a "Hands On" working manager that can deliver content as well as produce through management of the team.
+ Proven Capabilities implementing Process improvements and automation to drive functional efficiency.
+ Experience with fully integrated ERP systems - Oracle R12 (or similar software), including OneStream or similar reporting systems such as HFM
+ Strong Microsoft Office computer skills - Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, Macros, etc.), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Power BI a plus.
+ Ability to prepare well-constructed spreadsheets demonstrating a high degree of financial acumen and visual appeal
+ Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines.
+ Excellent communication skills, detail oriented and flexible.
+ A sense of urgency with the ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
+ Adherence to policies, procedures and strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements
