Overview

Job Purpose
A QA Engineer candidate must be a self-motivated individual who has a proven history of delivering high quality test results and is able to thrive in a fast-pace environment. This role requires frequent interaction with Project Managers, Product Managers, Software Developers and Database Administrators. The candidate will be tasked with understanding business and system requirements, database schemas, writing and executing test scenarios and logging and tracking defects when necessary. The candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong knowledge of software testing, including functional, regression, and system testing. The candidate will be expected to have strong SQL knowledge and is able to do data analyses.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing business and functional requirements to produce a test strategy and test cases.
• Develop, execute and maintain test cases for new and existing application features
• Report bugs, help manage the bug triage process and ensure all issues are handled efficiently
• Provide timely status updates and assist the team in making decisions about release readiness
• Participate in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes
• Performs troubleshooting software / hardware configuration problems

Knowledge and Experience

• Computer Science or related degree
• 3+ years' experience in reviewing product requirements and design, creating test plans, and testing distributed web based applications
• 3+ years' Web-based GUI testing for Java/J2EE applications using data driven test methodologies
• Experience using ALM or similar test management tools
• Experience programming in Python or Java
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environments

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing new processes/products, validating new equipment and technology, assisting production with continuous improvement on the shop floor, managing customer complaints, and handling CAPA/NCR activities. This role also involves leading change requests with customers and ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other applicable standards. The Quality Engineer collaborates closely with QA Technicians and Quality Inspectors (QAR).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process and Product Development:

• Develop new processes/products and revise existing ones.

• Work as part of a cross-functional team.

Compensation and Benefits Overview

Starting Pay Range for this position is $80,000 -$95,000 Annually

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range. Actual pay rates are determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, local labor market conditions, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language proficiency, and other job-specific qualifications.
